Are you going to be in the delivery room taking photos? That's very cool. Don't forget to leave him a trinket to find someday.
congrats.
bet you're excited...
Natalie, make sure to give her a wack on the stern when she comes out of the delivery room.
Congrats Ed.
Moomba Martha’s egg has been planted and growing at a rapid pace.
On Oct. 1st she received her gel coat.
Awe…what a beauty she will be!
Gene Owens…priceless photos...priceless!
This is an awesome idea for a thread! I was fortunate enough to be able to go on a tour of the factory right before our boat was built, so I got to see all the steps, but its still cool to see again - especially when its a member of the boards' boat getting built!
Do we need to throw some sort of shower for the proud parents?
Gift ideas:
bumpers
Yuegling
new board shorts
DEFINITELY-- some new shorts!!!!
no saran wrap
Please get the proud new pops some new shorts...I am sure the Ms. and the new arrival will appreciate it!!! (So will I)
Moomba Martha is moving right along...
way cool.... very nice touch to post for us. Pretty much seals the deal when I get my new boat... Supra 24 SSV!
I can't help but notice that since we started building you a new boat our web sites have been crashed with chinese and russian internet porn providers.
Coincidence? Not likely.
That's for sure.
Ed, I love your idea of making an album for posterity. I always save the window sticker off my new cars so I can stick it back in the window when I go to sell. The buyers love being able to see the original price and options, etc.
Her skin is forming and Martha is getting backbone!
i think this is the thread of the year for us owners to see this
I don't know. I'm a little uncomfortable seeing Martha all bare and vulnerable looking like that.
While I was gone yesterday Gene said Martha's deck went from starting to dilate to 7 cm and her hull went to 9 cm. She’s getting ready to push folks....
ARE YOU READY!!!!
She's going to be a beauty!!!
Very very cool; I can't wait to see what it looks like!
She is fully dilated and we can see the head. Gene says...get the salad spoons man!
Ed, don't freak out....the green is to be expected. So are you nervous, excited?
When we went of the factory tour I saw the lime green molds and said that I thought that should be a color they offered, lol...
Hey...we do offer lime green...It's hot! My favorite gel coat out there...beside black! Which by the way the two look really good together.
I love Cigars...Torpedo please.
At this point its waiting to go up the rigging line. Rigging will start Tuesday am.
Guess who's getting built...RIGHT NOW!
Her deck and hull have been separated (temporarily) to be built! Her deck is getting deck carpet and hardware as her hull gets all the transom and underwater gear installed.
JohnB
Yikes? Thats good stuff!
So, I've got more photos’.....Check out the finished luxurious interior panel for the newly designed bow area of the Outback V...nice.
Baby... got back!
Yes siree -
It's me
Johnny B
Her deck is now having the upholstery and dash installed while the hull is being carpeted. IT'S A REALLY BIG DAY FOR MARTHA! She'll probably even have a personality by the end of the day!
...btw - a blunt will be just fine.
Look at her...you can see what a beauty she is going to be.
Here are a few more photos....
You saw that the hull has been carpeted...but check this out. The engine is awaiting install.
Check out photo of Johhny B and GeneO...my arm is in background too.
Thanks all of you for making this so much fun. It's as though we're all there in the delivery room sharing Ed's joy!
Wow, this is just the coolest thread I have ever seen! It's almost like being able to walk her through the assembly line! Next SC will be installing "baby cams" like day cares have.
Ed, I think I saw somewhere where you were trying to get the pictures in order. I think that when you load pics into the albums, they are last in, first shown. So, wait till the end and download them backwards.
For a short time, before her deck was permanently attached to the hull, she sang. It was beautiful Ed
Here goes, this part is truly where it all comes together.
Drum roll please..........
And did a little work on Martha.....none other than the #1 Wake skater in the World...
REED HANSEN.
Reed actually put some of the screws in for Martha's rub rail on the right side. So, if your rub rail falls off or you notice that big scratch on the right side...it's Reed's fault!!! (Just kidding, he did great!)
Johnny B...Geno who has a band aide?
Very cool (boat and thread). Can't imagine where else you could keep in the loop like this and get updates near real time. That's awsome.
wow, she's a coming along and lookin good
awesome thread... Congrats Ed!!!
Well Ed - she had a big day but did very well. She only got upset once when she realized she didn't have one of her wire tie blocks but we got her one REAL quick! All is quiet at the plant now and I imagine she's resting well. Tomorrow is another big day! She may even get a little "gassy" tomorrow afternoon!
Time to wake up and get started on this hump day.
