It looks incredible, but what's the 4k technology all about? I wonder if that will make it difficult to use current (cheap) video editing software?
The Sony & JVC entries look to be strong competitors.

Not sure about video editing but i dont think you tube will even allow the ultra high definition(4k) to be uploaded. I'm sure cheap software will pop up soon if its not already available
Any one interested in an HD hero 2??? Haha

How much yall selling these Go Pros for? I mean i can get a brand new one for less then 200 right now...
Is the black model over the top? Is the silver more than adequate.. Trying to determine what I might regret if I got the silver not black
Thoughts?
Good point
I think the silver is same tech as hero2 but adds wifi.
I will be keeping my hero 2 since it works just fine...
but another forum member e-mailed me this forthe iphone. looks pretty cool.

I would go for the black for the high frame rate
I think it said it does 720p at 120 fps...that would make some awesome slow mo shots.

I've been flipping back and forth about black and silver as well and the way I'm justifying the black is that it comes with the waterproof remote. If you get a silver and add the remote you're only like $30 short of the black's price. So for $30 you get better video option, higher frame rate across the board, higher MP pics, and better low light quality.
Its pretty obvious then.
If you want to do any slow motion black is the way to go
