BIG Nasty Storm
Big storm coming from the northwest. This is the projected rainfall starting tomo afternoon and ending Tuesday afternoon. Belton sits in the middle of Gatesville, Killeen, and Temple. Lake should be full, or above capacity, after this one.

Just about to roll through here as we speak!
-
Your just getting the front band Chawk. Your area is projected for close to 7 inches starting about mid day today and running thru wednesday. Gonna be good stuff, thanks to all our NW brothers for sending her our way
-
7 inches!!! I hadn't heard that. Well, maybethis will pay off come August and it hasn't rained in 3 months!
-
Crud. I'm on a plane flying right into it now. Land at DFW around 11:30. Guess I better buy an umbrella at the airport.
Thx for the heads up.
-
bad thing about getting it all at once is they will open the damns to get everything back to normal level so we cant even hold on to the extra water
-
All the lakes along the brazos river are full besides possum kingdom which is still 5ft low. We need some rain out west to fill that lake up. Another thing with all this rain is debris in the lakes and river but i'll take that over no water anyday.

Check out the weather map i posted Chawk, imthinkmyour close to DFW area and this module shows 6.55 inches.
I think the corp of engineers will let Belton over fill a tad. Few years back we were closed due to flooding. Depending how much the surrounding areas get I don't think they can open the gates. We are only a foot low now thou so well see
Yeah same here B!!
I think you'll be fine For your landing Wolfe, bad stuff is suppose to hit some time between about 2pm CST and go until about mid morning on Tuesday. When is your return flight? You may have an extended stay, depending

Plan is to fly out early tomorrow afternoon. Back to the ATL for about 50 mins, then on to Tampa.
