OPS change
so im thinking about getting that oil pressure switch for the boat. my question is, when i pull the old one out will oil also come out as well? would like to know so if it does i can have oil on hand so i dont have to go back to the store to get oil ha

No there will be oil. It is a switch that messures pressure and when the motor is off there is no oil pressure so it wont leak out.
-
can anyone throw up a pic or tell me where the pressure switch is? i looked around the motor and didnt see it
-
On a 5.7. it right next to the filter mount.

I'm assuming it's this rusted thing then haha...if it is then I have the wrong ops I bought ha
-
that is definitely an oil pressure sender for a gauge. If what you bought is small, then its likely for a light/sounder

yeaa..looks like i found the same one on bakes.. (http://bakesonline.com/detail.aspx?ID=1063 ) could be the reason why the boat wont start..its either the OPS is bad or one of the relays..thats what i have come down to. did a jump from the ignition straight to the pump and when u turn the key to on it pumps fuel, so the pump is good. when you try to start theres no fuel pushing out of the injectors..

is there a way i can cross ref. the switch with one from autozone?
