how long should the rope be when you are wakeboarding
anywhere from 55 to 80 feet is normal, I personally ride at about 65 feet
There are some variables to take into consideration with regards to rope length, wake size, shape, firmness, the speed you ride at, and most of all your ability.
In general:
Beginners = 55’ to 60’
I ride at = 65’ and would probably be considered an intermediate.
I have had advanced riders at =70’ – 75’ behind my boat.
Good luck, E
Ps- Get yourself a good NON-stretch wake board rope, it makes a big difference.
I am also at about 65 feet with a static line and it made a huge difference. I was using, at first a ski line and it kills your speed into the wake with the stretch. I bought the zebra braid 3/16 diameter line with a good handle and now I wouldn't even consider anything but a good board line. My speed is around 21 if the driver is paying attention(wife usually isn't).

PP worth every penny :)
I did not know they even made wakeboard boats without perfect pass these days. I can't imagine riding without it. Perfect pass made towing so easy.
Make sure you get perfect pass.
PP will be on there by next season for sure. I told the wife and she said whatever made her job easier, she is all for it. Now if I could get her to stop looking at me when I go outside the wake and steering the boat in that direction, she will have it down. That sure kills your speed when they do that.
