Got out with a few friends for a quick Saturday morning ski run. I love the fall for skiing because the lakes are finally quieting down. Thanks for all of you who are already putting their boats away!:cool:

I knew from the wake it wasn't a board boat. So many similarities from my runs at 36mph (I'm a big guy). The Prostar is the best ski boat in my opinion.

From the looks of that slalom wake id have to agree. It’s almost non existent. I was thinking it had to be a prostar. 197 doesn’t look that good. I’ve skied it and it’s similar to the Outback from my perspective.Quote:

We are about 100 miles north of Georgetown Guyana. The ship pictured is the Noble Sam Croft, sister ship to the Noble Bob Douglas (where I am). We just happen to be passing her at sunrise on our way to our next location doing a blistering .5 knots.Quote:

You are not alone. Everyone in Northern states has already seen below freezing temps. Work travel forced me into early winterization and then 2 weeks later the weather turned cold anyway.
I think we have only had rain 3 days in the last 2 months in Ohio. Starting in 2017, it has seemed I will have to use the boat to get to work we have gotten so much rain, not this fall. See what winter brings!
Seems like more and more the season gets a bit shorter around here with the weather. Hopefully it will get back to normal. Its finally raining a bit today. Dont think it will amount to much, but we'll take all we can get at this point.Quote:

The October adventure was amazing at Lake Powell. We saw things we haven’t seen in 30 years of visits. Boated to (under) Gregory Natural Bridge from Halls Crossing and also visited Cathedral in the Desert, which we have touched the ceiling of before but now walked on the floor 100 feet below. Also surfed, skied, and wakeboarded. Temp was around 80 for a high but started cold at 50 or so but the water was 75. Couldn’t have asked for a better trip! By the way, went about 80 miles on 42 gallons of gas, but we started pulling the tube with 10 miles or so to go since we knew we were in the clear.

Still going in Knoxville at Melton Hill Lake. Water was 61’, which is usually 5-10’ colder than the other local lakes.
Lake is fed from Norris Dam, so when the draw-down Norris to winter pool, this lake gets that cold deep water behind the dam.

Went out with Blaine for a bit today! Water was chilly for sure, rode a set and then got dropped back off since I had to get kids. Felt good to ride for first time in well over a mo th since I sold my boat. Hoping I can find a replacement soon!
I wore a shorty wet suit. Blaine just had a heater top. Hope you had something. My lower body was getting chilly from sitting in the water between wipe outs.Quote:
