I have the 1235 on my Supra 242, which is supposed to be the surf prop.
I’m looking for a more aggressive prop to get on plane with more weight. I’m not concerned with the boat going 25+ mph.
We boat on smaller lakes, and for the most part just anchor out in a cove. But we do surf also.
Can anyone help me with a stump puller?

I had the same prop on my Mojo.
It's my spare now and I run an OJ 945 (15 X 13). With full crew, lead, etc. I'm almost 10k floating and surf around 3200 rpm.

Doesn’t seem right to me. I can’t even get on plane with 4 people in the boat if I add any weight on top of my 1300lb bags in rear that only fill 3/4 of the way anyway, plus 600lb mid ship stock. The boat will not reach surf speed.
I do have 500lb if lead bags scattered throughout though.
Surely this engine has more in it.
I used to have a 215 Sanger with the 330 black scorpion. And with the right prop I could sink the darn thing and it threw a great wave.
6 crew, 500lb lead, 1100 rear lockers, 600 mid ship and another 600-1000 in bags.
So it seems to me a more aggressive prop should do it.

According to OJ, looks like it’ll fit.
The 950 is slightly more aggressive. I suppose the most aggressive I can get. That’s what I’m looking for [emoji1787]
Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I’ve read quite a few threads on the 945/950. Seems like a good prop!

1235 - 14.75 x 14.25
Based on your pic going to a 15" prop would leave clearance so no prop burn.
However the 1235 should still allow you to surf.
Your setup has a lot the weight midship to rear. I would bet your pitched up to high and need bow weight if you add more people.
I've never had an issue with the 1235's and running thousands of lbs in our z3's. close in length to your 242. granted when running fully ballasted I struggled to get on plane boarding but never an issue surfing.
what are you primarily doing that it won't get on plane loaded up?
do agree with hold. when I didn't have the front full and bow was high, it would dig in and not jump up to surf speed as quickly. tige's didn't like a lot of nose weight but needed the 800lbs up front full to get out of the hole.
The boat won’t get to surf speed. Will achieve about 9.6-9.8
Putting the tab down helps lower the nose and get it to plane.
Even with moving people up front.
With basically stock ballast + 500 in lead, with 4ppl in boat.
It would not take any extra weight. Doesn’t seem right to me.
Now granted I do have roughly 800lb of batteries and subwoofers as well. But I think it should still have plenty of balls with the 409.
I’ll gear down to the 945/950 and see how it goes

OJ and Acme both make a 15 x 12 if you think you need it.
My 1235 did fine but I wanted to leave the hole a little faster and run 75% loaded while boarding. Really the only reason I went more aggressive. I was going to buy a spare anyway before going on vacations so it was a perfect excuse....lol

The OJ seems to be the ticket.
I ran way more weight in my old 215 with a smaller engine so I know the prop is the ticket. The acme 911 turned it into a stump puller for sure.
Same stereo/battery combination as well.
6 L16 in the rear lockers. 3 on each side, which is what affects my 1300lb bags from filling full.
As well as 2 15” DC audio lvl5 woofers. One under the helm, one under the observer compartment.
My understanding is the larger the diameter and lower the pitch, the more torque?

Yeah...15 x 12 is a 15 diameter prop and the 12 is the pitch.
Pitch is inches traveled in 1 revolution. The smaller the number the more torque.

I had a 1617 (14 x 13.75) and I struggled to get to speed (up to 5600 lbs. of added weight at times), I called ACME and Braden Miller suggested a 2937 (15 x 11) which is a night and day difference. The 2937 gets up to speed easily.
Checked my buddies 18 SA today. 2775 acme. 15x12.5

The 1235 does fine with 4-5 people in the boat and no additional weight over what I have. It surfs fine, it surfs very well actually.
We ran today at 11.1 surf.
But I’d like to run an additional 500lb up front, and possibly even another 500lb in front of the rear seat and see what I can get when I really sink her.
15x13 would probably do the trick. My other friend has a 19 t22 with the 409 and runs 3500lb of ballast with 7-8 people with the acme 2773 15x13. It’s very peppy.

If you are torn between a 15x13 and 15x12, then the ACME 2775 is perfect at 15x12.5
I ran the 2775 on my 18SA 400 with 1.5 trans and loved it. Pulled hard and got 38mph top end.
Surf RPM was 3600-3700 range

Wakemakers is out of stock on the 2775, and it’s $100 more expensive than the 15x12 OJ 1997.Quote:

Can you fit a 15" prop on a 2014 Mojo 2.5? ACME website prop selector for my boat shows 2079 to be the most aggressive its s 14.5x12 I think my factory prop is a 14. Would a 15 give you a bigger wave, or just helps get people up when fully weighted?
15" fits my 2015 Mojo.
I run a 15x13 OJ945.
Great holeshot and surf rpm with heavy crew is 3400rpm.
I ended up with the 15x12 OJ 1997.
Absolutely pleased with it. This is our first week out with new prop.
22mph is 3500rpm
Surf is 3500rpm
The 6.0 is very happy at that range.
I gained about 500rpm over my acme 1235.
The boat is so much happier.
And I am Very very happy.
