New Mojo Build, help picking colors, also engine size

Hello all, sold my 2006 XLV this fall and am building a new Mojo.
The website builder and colors seems to be wierd and hard to pick from.
we are torn between making the main side panel Ultra blue metal flake or Brittany blue flake.
On the website the Ultrablue looks like what we want but we are concerned its pretty dark in reality and the Brittany is more our liking.

Anyone out there have pictures they would like to share or suggestions regarding this...

Oh, we are thinking of upgrading to the 450 cause our older boat struggled with the upgraded ballasts and weight. is this really an issue in a new boat.

In a mojo, 400/1.76 is going to handle a lot unless you are at higher elevation.

I have pulled 11,000+ in a SA with a 400/1.76 at 1000 feet elevation at 11mph no problem.

I've been on the new Mojo full of adults, full ballast, and 500#s of lead. No issues with that 400 and new trans package.

Ultra Blue really pops in the water in the sun.

Ultra!!! Gotta love that metal flake in it too.

The pitch you surf at 8/9/10/11 degrees and the propeller you use, makes a huge difference on whether your boat can pull the weight. As well, if you have novice surfers, that are above 200 lbs, or if you enjoy surfing way back on the wave, you will need to add weight (lead/water) and re-prop from the stock offering. I would spend the money on that rather than upgrading the engine.

Of the two blues hands down Ultra Blue looks better in my opinion. It has a little bit of flop to it and the hue of blue/aqua changes depending on lighting conditions. In bright daylight shining against the flake the color pops a bright aqua-like color and on low light or overcast the hue is a bit like a bright royal color. Brittany Blue is not as dynamic in terms of color changes in my opinion.

My mondo is Brittany blue and we love it. Of course buy used we didnt get a choice of color but hell beggars cant be choosers.

Haven’t seen the concrete in person. From the pics and vid’s I’ve seen showing the gatorstep the concrete reminds me of splatter paint with water and in some pics just looks like a dingy and dirty floor. Not sure I like it but it might be one of those things you need to see in person to appreciate. Of the two flooring options I think I like the wood grain better but that color doesn’t work with all gel colors and schemes IMO. You could always order it bare and get custom gatorstep to your liking if it turns out you don’t like the concrete and wood grain.

I have seen the concrete gator step. I didn’t know it was supposed to be like that at first and thought someone had sprayed penetrating fluid (WD40) all over it or spilled oil on it. I wouldn’t get it to f I was building a boat.

Agree. I'm not a fan. Most boat owners are not fans of 'spots' on the floor or cushions.
But on the other side, if you walked on the boat with shoes, who would be able to tell?

I would order without the flooring and custom order something.

It's just grey. There isn't any inherent color variation. Pay no attention to the penguin driving.

After reviewing the video, I'm glad mine doesn't look like the vid.

Mine must have been an early production run before the coloring was added. It was one of the first 2022s built.

We opted for the light graphite gator step as we have turned our build specs in this week. Here is the picture I got from our dealership to see the concrete and wood grain. Thought you guys might like the pic.

Moomba still offers the light gray GatorStep as the base. you can upgrade to the concrete or wood grain (including gunnels and the bow). some boats you can upgrade to add the gunnels and the bow in light gray. or that at least what's on the configurator, maybe you can do it on all boats, know there is still some kinks being worked out.

Your flooring looks like standard scraped/brushed flooring like my 2019 has. Perhaps they didn’t have the concrete in time when they built your boat.
