It's February. It's cold. I went wakeboarding.
Water quality doesn't get much better than this...

Congrats to Jacob and to you, what a great day! Must be crazy excited....
Well, here are my exciting pics! I just got my build date from the dealer, so i guess it's real enough that posting online about it can't jinx it anymore. This is BEYOND a dream come true - if you had told me a couple of years ago that I would be in the position to spec out and order a brand new wake boat I would have laughed at you, but the stars aligned, and I jumped off the cliff!
My idea was to keep the Craz as budget concious as possible while maxxing out al of the wake options.
- Raptor 400
- 6 pump ballast, autowake, Flow 2.0
- Stock prop
- GPS
- Classic pattern with Silver flake/Captain Blue/Dark Graphite/black chrome logo/black tower/non skid package inside and on gunnels. bow cushion and heater.
- DOVE GREY/SILVER MOQUETTA
- regular swivel racks, bimini NO tower speakers
- no stereo options except transom remote
- base trailer with swing away tongue, 7 pin round light connector and steps.
My dealer added the steps and dual battery setup. Seems like they're cheap or free at their costs as a "deal maker" options from the factory...
Spray date 4/23. Is it April yet?!
Congratulations to you and your son, that is very cool and I'm sure a dream come true for Jacob.
That sounds awesome and Congrats! Your Craz is going to look great. I never thought I would ever get a new Wake Boat either but ordered a Mojo last fall, it's getting sprayed today! You can find pics of mine under the 2018 Mojo on order thread.
Thanks! It'll be a pretty big leap from the '86 Supra!
To be fair, I use the '86 supra like it's a much newer boat! That design was far ahead of it's time!
Shameless self promotion of that for sale ad:

Thanks! Yes, I've spent time in all of the current Moomba offerings. The dealer that I bought from - Denney Marine in Albany, KY - could be described as a family friends (actually houseboat dock neighbors to a good friend's family). They are constantly rotating what boat they are using, so I've spent time on all of them. While the Max is far superior in (surf) wake than anything in it's class (price wise) and has enormous amounts of space, I just don't like the square design. Also, the Max won't fit through an 8' door with the tower folded (the Craz/Mojo will although it takes some doing), and would be generally difficult to tow every weekend - It's a monster and needs to live on a lift... Also, I just like boats with pointy bows - hence spending nearly the same money on the 1' shorter Craz over the Mojo.
My boat's still in storage, but I've been doing some winter upgrades on it. Put in a NauticLaugic GPS upgrade and Fresh Air Exhaust so far. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b57b93b49c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...fcbdb4b221.jpg
Wow! That is so cool. I have a daughter that has a chance to play small school-- she's in 8th grade right now. Her younger brother is a goalie but the competition is immense with the boys so no real chance there. Please let Jacob know the Moomba crew is behind him and very proud of him. Keep working hard. We are rooting for you!
My lease ends April 15th at my storage facility so Lady Glitter Sparkles Seriously is getting dropped in the water regardless. Can't wait for April.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...148a0d919b.jpg

No crazy pictures here but news that my MAX started production yesterday. Come on spring!
Your right to get to this level it is very competitive and stressful, more so for goalies. At the level he plays at the college showcases and national leagues are key. We went from no D1 offers to 2 after he had an awesome tournament at ESPN for the Disney Showcase. Three games he gave up ZERO goals and even stopped a PK. Tell your kids to keep playing as long as it's fun for them. Jacob loves soccer and lives to train. He also kicked for football his SR year and had interest from some small D1 and D2 schools, but his heart is with soccer. I'm just happy it's worked out for him.
Thank you Moomba family I'll let him know your rooting for him.

The good people at MMS in Kelowna lake tested our new Supra SL a few days ago. Meanwhile it snowed 50cm here today. The wait continues!

Sweet Looking SL! What was your last boat? I’m new to the forum (and boating community). Just purchased our first one this last fall and didn’t even use it. It has been a super long winter. Picked up a 2017 550SE and can’t wait to try it out.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...baea2b1e9d.jpg

ShoeBox, how difficult was this to do? I also bought the paddlewheel GPS upgrade, but my boat is in storage. Where and how did you mount the puck?Quote:
Put in a NauticLaugic GPS upgrade
I'm in the process of replacing the Deutsch connector on the paddlewheel to the boat harness. If a previous owner hadn't screwed with it and spliced the wires, it would have been plug and play, super easy.
I'm going to try the GPS antenna under the drivers cowl, I've heard the signal will pass through the fiberglass. If that doesn't work, I'm going to snake it through the vent in front of the driver's side windshield. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ad90701ae3.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a56c683228.jpg
I have seen others have to do this as well, I don't think it was the previous owner, pretty sure they came from the factory like this. Probably saved a dollar a boat, lol. Where did you find the connector? Great photos, Thanks for sharing.Quote:

I paid an extra $20 for NauticLaugic to send me one. Wish they had sent a couple extra pins, they are very fragile.
I was also working with one of the Moomba guys who's here on the forum, trying to figure out the wiring for the connector. He sent me a pic of the paddlewheel they use, so if it came like this from the factory then they had to have cut off the connector on the paddlewheel. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...81b35a0a00.jpg

No crazy pictures yet with the boat being built and UT still frozen. I did decide to go with a skim style surf this season, Ronix Air Core 3 Carbon Skimmer from Marine Products. Come on spring...
