3500 lb of subfloor ballast should makes lots of people around here happy! Does anyone know if it is also plumbed for additional bags?
I got sent this that just hit Lake Powell... Man what a sexy boat coming out of CO!

No mention of a FAE thought it was going to be standard?
It's on the website as an add on option...Quote:

Sweet looking boat!!
I also love the new paint that is coming on the trailers...looks like a Rhino Liner type of material, I'll bet it is way more durable than the paint that they have been using for years.
I'm sure it's an add on option...Quote:

Can't find much on the floor ballast on the website and the rear picture doesn't show any quick drains like a centurion... is it gonna be pumped in/out through the hull fittings?!? Seems like that's gonna be a slow fill/drain...
2 bow speakers and 2 cockpit speakers any thoughts on this will it be enough stock? This boat is definitely on my very short list

2018 SL information is up on the Supra site and the boat builder is up as well.
The bow will be an improvement over the old days, the 2 in the cabin disappoint me. Moving to 8.8s is a huge step in the right direction, but dropping down to two of them is a mistake imo. I've already been discussing with Odin how/where we can add either another pair of 7.7s or 8.8s in the cabin.
Well there goes 147k lol [emoji23]

sweet boat
The Supra builder is so entertaining. Great inexpensive way to pass the time on work conference calls.

Question regarding engine choice in this boat.
If you did not want to pony up for the SC option, would the 400 be enough given that the torque spec isn't much different than the 440? You could easily weight this boat past 10k lbs, and with its 1.5:1 transmission ratio, I'm wondering how well the 400 would do getting to wakeboard speeds with max ballast. Not worried about top speed, so with a reprop would it be okay with the 400?
Following^ I had the 15x13 in SA and could see where 440 would be needed. Curious on your prop question.

I struggled with this decision initially also. To go from 400 to 440 its a $6130 upgrade. I'm coming from and SE with the 2775 prop, boat weight listed at 5500 pounds. The SL is listed at 5600 pounds, and I will prop with the same 2775. To me, the 400 seems like too large of a regrettable decision.
I wish I would have went with the 550 on my 2017 SA. I reproped to a 15x11 and still have to dump to 60% to be able to wakeboard. I do have the enzio sacks though and I only have the 400.
2017 Supra SA 400
Wow, 15x11 is an AGGRESSIVE prop! Still need to dump weight to wakeboard with that prop on an SA 400? This makes me think the 550 is an absolute requirement in the SL. I really don't think you could tell the difference between a 400 and a 440 given the similar torque curves.
As an aside, how much top end did you lose with the 15x11 Cactus?
All the Supra's are ordered with the 575 since we are at high elevation and is a must with full ballast. The Moomba's are ordered with the 400 since it's a costly upgrade to the 440 when looking for a smaller budget. If you can afford the 440 or 575 it's well worth it IMO.
Keep in mind he is running the Enzo's which would be at least 1500 additional over stock pounds.
I have the 440 in my SE with 700lbs of lead. I run the 15x12 prop with little issue surfing unless we have a boat load of people. But at wakeboard speed even with auto launch I have to drop some weight to get to speed. The 575 would be best if your going to weight it much beyond stock ballast.

It came from the dealer with the 15x12 or 12.5. I went from 35 mph to 34 mph wot at 5400 rpm. It has no problems surfing even with 10-12 people and ballast full as long as the weight is distributed correctly. Mainly having enough nose weight. That is the only thing that I would change. But $16000 extra for a 550 could be to much just to wakeboard with that much weight. Not to mention we don't wakeboard that much. But I would love to see the wake

Really though that interior is BEAUTIFUL! Wonder why they opted for the power tower, towing with the cover on?Quote:
Power tower is standard, and you have the option of ordering a cover that goes over the folded tower or one that fits with tower up.

Boat looks great, but what gives with the 2x2 flat screen. Common Supra, I was almost sold on this boat till I saw the industry lagging screen size. Everyone has gone to at least 10 inch screens! Maybe next year
Looks sweet. I don't understand the 2x2 screen comment, it certainly looks larger than that, maybe not 10" but seemed like a good size to me.
Did anyone feel like the interior seems narrower than other boats? Specifically the floor space between the seats and the walkway between the windshield?
The 2x2 screen comment is that when you come from owning Nauitque's malibu's etc the screen on the Supra looks very small. Also the clutter on the dash is unnecessary. All this redundancy is like Supra doesn't think there interface is reliable. Never have any of my screens ever failed or even blipped in the last 6 yrs.
I think the dash is cool. Might should measure before commenting. It's plenty big. I don't want an iPad mounted in my face when I am at the lake.
