Thinking about adding hinges to the larger seats on our 2014 mojo. Not a fan how they slide. By hinging the the larger seats it should all in place nicely. Anyone done this?

i remember reading about someone doing this a few yrs ago but don't remember details. Try searching and see if you can find it.
I would be I interested too. Think these would work?http://greatlakesskipper.com/skier-s...inges-set-of-2
My Supra has hinges on some of the seats
Is your Supra hinged on the front with piano style hinge?
seats are hinged on the front but are not a piano style. I'll try to get a picture of it in the next day or two.
Sorry to bring up an old thread, but did anyone ever install seat hinges on a Moomba?
I ended up here searching for exactly this, but i can't find any answers on the topic....
The only answer I found was from another member regarding the Max:
But there are no cross supports to side mount. Rear hinge won't clear cushions. Easy option would be a front mounted piano hinge, but reaching over the cushion to access a 2.5ft deep storage compartment won't work.
So the Malibu’s at the boat shoot had the hinges on the narrow part of the seat so there is no need for a cross section support. The seats opened up y’all ways towards the front or back of the boat. I think this is the best solution and I may try this.

Here’s how I’m doing mine
Interested in pics of the Supra’s that hinge towards the bow if anyone has some?
I added some heavy duty outdoor velcro to my seats to stop them from flying out when traveling. Simple and cheap insurance since I trailer without my cover to prevent the top rail of my black boat from wearing.
I copied this and completed the install today. So far I am happy with it and feel that I can access the boards that I store under the side seats. I even added a pull strap.

Nice! I like the strap idea, I’ll have to do the same.
Sneak peak at another mod I’m working on:

Thanks, I figured this way I can store some stuff in there and not have to rearrange or check on it when filling the 720’s.
The fiberglass in the area circled below is very thin (I though I had a short enough screw but ended up popping up the gel slightly in the first hole, so I ended up using jb water weld along with a screw barely in the fiberglass to hold the plastic clips on that side. On the other side I went down a few inches to give a little more space and used a screw to hold them to the seat base (vertical wall - much thicker fiberglass) instead of the underside.

The net wasn’t quite as wide as I liked so I used some zip ties to make it sit right in the middle and also reduce the tension. It’s still removes the same, no need to cut the zip ties as they just slide over the plastic clips/hooks like the net would without them.
Tip: use a drill, not an impact driver to put screws in fiberglass. The impact spins so fast the screw acts as a drill bit and never bites, but does leave a hole lol.
