So I decided to try some new gel coat cleaning products from Chemical Guys and I really liked it. I've used a lot of different stuff over the years and had good success with a lot of them but I'm always looking for the something better. This is the stuff i used and a before and after picture.
here are a few final ones.
Looks great! What do you do about cutting with the stickers? Do you go over it with the cutting compound or do you do around them? Same question for the wax. My hull needs a good touch up as it was never done by the previous owners and it needs it.

i just went right over the stickers with the compound and the wax. Didn't have any problems.
Mine are in decent shape but they probably need to go. Just wondering for the future once I do replace them. I started removal already.
DAMN! That looks great. Now get some product to keep it that way after a day on the water.
How did you apply and remove? By hand or buffer?

I also use Chemical Guys marine products and really like it. Bought my buffer kit from them as well. Both the buffer and their products are really easy to use.
I used a porter cable buffer for the compound and polish. I removed by hand. The wax I applied and removed by hand.
Funny I had a buddy that's in the boat detailing business for a marina post up some of the worst taken care of boats and what the customers expect. I sent him this info, if it works that good he might have people paying him double for shinning their boat back to new. Thanks for the information.
