So, what do you do for Cinco de Mayo? Is it a big deal where you live? Does it involve boating activities? Have you ever even heard of it?

The weather SUX here this week/end so no boating...AGAIN. We'll probably hit up the Mexican restaurant around the corner from the house.
We are forecast for some ridiculously nice weather here that is pretty rare this early - upper 80's on Cinco and I have a shell of a boat.... Otherwise we'd be out soaking it up. Can't even garage boat - have no cushions or stereo!
I'm not allowed to have Tequila anymore so may have to stick with Dos Equis or Coronas.
We will be on the lake of course. Berg your more then welcome to come out with us and enjoy the warm weather.
Cinco de Drinko! Weather is supposed to get cold again tomorrow am. Going from mid to high 80s this week to 40s so we are wake boarding here today then finishing the school week and headed down to Hydrous in Allen Tx for the weekend. We'll celebrate there and hit up El Fenix or Chuy's for food and beverages.

on a sunday. probably not much.
not a big deal up here that I can see, but was in Boise with the number of mexican restaurants..
if you do the research, this is not a real big holiday in Mexico, more of an "american" celebration..
and I don't do hard liquor anymore after too many mojitos one night at an all-inclusive in cancun :(
Neighborhood Margarita party! Local Tex-Mex restaurant will be catering food and bringing along 4 margarita machines. Obviously, within walking distance of the house so . . . . .
I think you meant "crawling" distance
Get a babysitter for the kids & come on over.
where is the "stuck at work all day" option?
change in plans now. driving 9hrs to Drew's for some tequila and a crawl race
Dang, I just got offered 4 tickets for the Talladega race.
Don't hate. I don't have 3 friends or at least 3 that appreciate left turns at high speed. I'm probably going to turn them down.
If I were off work I would tell you to take them and then give them to me!

You should strongly consider Kane. Would be a good time! If you haven't been, it's an experience.
E4, that's rough that Drew doesn't like your kids.
My wife and I usually hold a "drinko de mayo" party every year at our house at the shore with all of our friends who we wakeboard with (usually a crowd of 10-12) but since Hurricane Sandy destroyed out first floor and we're still working to get it ready we are not having it.
Saturday is guys day. Me, my dad, and younger brothers are going to the sandpit to do some skeet shooting and cook up some food on a fire.
Sunday I am going to the shore house to work on it. Maybe the wifey can pick up se food from the local Mexican restaurant.
I've never been and I was close to going but had no takers around here. Thought about taking the boys but just couldn't bear 5 hrs each way to sit in a seat for 5 hours. My daughter is taking them and going with some of her college friends. Should be a blast. They also have a friend who is a NASCAR scorer and can get them pit passes.
Best cinco de mayo ever!

Unreal... What beach is that anyway?
I don't see sailboats!
That is an awesome picture. Wish we had a beach like that to tie up at and hang out.
Sucks about y'all's docks Jason. This year has been crap for rain.

Yeah in worried too. We are full but we will loose water once summer hits, we need to be about a ft over full pool to make it last all summer like we were last year. I have my fingers crossed tho.

The Columbia river has open beaches like that all over. We found the calmest spot on the river and had an awesome day.

Glad to see you're out there enjoying it. Hope we see more of you around here this summer.
