07 LSV surfing upgrades

Sorry to bring up an old thread but this is the best one I have found about installing the Wakemakers gravity 3 upgrade. I am starting this project and have just a couple questions.

1 - what is everyone doing with the old wiring??? I disconnected it under the dash and used the old wiring harness to pull my new wires through to the gas tank channel. Is it ok to leave power hooked up to the old fuse box and just pull the fuses or has everyone separated out the wiring feeding that fuse box and removed it altogether???

2 - thoughts on mounting the pumps to the engine side of the divider panel. My thought was to attach a short piece of hose to each side of the pump and then use a quick connect (like is used to connect hose to the ballast bags) to connect the hoses together. That way you could simply disconnect them if and when you need to lay that panel down or take it out to access the engine compartment. Doing it this way would make it much easier when it’s necessary to replace an impeller as well

When I did this I removed all old wiring. I don't think it would be any issue to leave it and remove the fuse like you said. I just really like to have a "clean" install and get rid of anything not being used so I pullled it.

As far a mounting the pumps to the removable side engine panels I probably wouldn't do that. I was always taking my side panels out to clean and do maintenace. I Just mounted it to the small divider panel that is fixed in place (you just need to unscrew it and pull it out) just in front of the romovable panel. I found that to be the best place for me.

Where did you mount the 3rd pump for the center/front bag???

Dude, the 07 LSV is a beast to upgrade for surfing. Wakemakers stuff is good, but pricey. Before you drop a ton of cash, seriously consider just the bigger bags and maybe the pump upgrade. The tabs will help, but the bags are the biggest impact. My buddy did a similar upgrade on his older boat, it was a night and day difference, but still not a perfect wave.

I upgraded my 2007 Supra years ago.

I removed the wires and the small fuse panel it was wired to. That was the only thing routed to those small fuses. I ran all new wire and fuses into a new bus bar. Also new bigger wire from the batteries to the new bus bar. I also used that for new LEDs for the speakers and cup holders.

As for pumps, I was able to mount them over the transmission/back seat area. I mounted them so I could change the green impellers each/every-other year. Another good spot I have seen is on the transom. Some have mounted a piece of Starboard for the pumps above the motor.

I put the 3rd one on the back of the transom seat like MJHSupra said.

I have an 08 LSV and here's my set-up: 1100 each rear, 490 center (doesn't fill all the way), 750 IBS (sometimes I think the wave is better when the IBS is empty or just slightly filled because there's more pitch), 650 in lead bags placed under seats toward rear on side I want rolled/listed, 2-150 bags on floor towards rear, 325 bag on rear seat. Three reversible pumps and fresh air exhaust. I use a Swell Slim H3X Plus shaper in the rear and sometimes I experiment with another shaper on the same side but toward the middle of boat (some people claim that two shapers are better than one but I'm not convinced). When I first did upgrades in 2016 I used an ACME 1617 prop and then upgraded to an ACME 2937 (per ACME recommendation). Also, check for water under your ski locker (many LSV owners have cut holes in the ski locker to drain water that gets trapped - design flaw).

I also upgraded the prop on my 2007 Supra 22' Sunsport. I think it was to the ACME 1433 4 Blade 14" x 14.25" Propeller. I do not have the boat anymore.
That was not the most aggressive prop (ACME 1617 4 Blade 14" x 13.75" Propeller), but it did a good job vs the std prop.

I think that prop can also be used on Moomba Mobius XLV for those years as the boat is appx the same size.
Where the Moomba Mobius LSV is a different hull at 21.5 feet long.
