My floor looks a lot like that. I scraped glue and all the gray glue residue-- I evened it up a lot before I started putting down my hydro turf. I was worried that the hydro might not stick to the slightly uneven glue/floor residue that was still left. ha ha. I had to rip out a bit of finished hydro I had put down. It was almost impossible to rip back out. So, scrape it clean and even and shopvac the dust. Your hydro will stick fine.
Protip: you can use a heat gun to help mold the hydro.. :)

Large pieces are almost impossible to work with. On the other hand, vertical seams are pretty much invisible. Once I figured that out it got a lot easier to work.
Thanks for the pics. I wouldn't have guessed that the screws would be so far out on the tips of the corners and edges. Maybe that will help me find mine if needed.
I also would not have guessed that the pieces would be 2 rectangles and separate sections for beside the vdrive and in the "cooler cutout". That's good to know how they put it together.
Well Russ, my floors are actually screwed in from the SIDES. they have screws that come in from the bottom inside of the seat bases. Crazy.
I guess I didn't have to replace my carpet to find the screws.
Oh wait, I went to town with a razor knife to find where they WEREN'T in the corners, so I guess I DO have the replace my carpet! Good thing my hydroturf shows up tomorrow!
So after a couple months of running it how are you liking it? I am really considering this as an alternative to our snap in carpet for the wakeboard days.
I love it, but I've always installed it in my boats.
Spilled a full can of coke on the floor, used the same can to collect some river water and dilute it and force it into the bilge. No fuss..
So I'm really curious about this stuff and if it's still holding up. Seems like a great alternative to the other flooring options. I know I'm bringing this one back from the dead but I'm getting ready for a winter project and this minor's moss has really gotten my attention. Thoughts? Feedback?
