I was very pleased with the 550 so far. Fuel consumption was about what I expected. Hoping to try a few props out and see if I can tweak it.

Also have a good pal running a ZX5 2:1 460 and says it’s plenty by a comfortable margin.
Could be a really nice setup for these bigger boats!

The g23 surf wave (at least stock) isn't all that. I've surfed a 2015 plenty and it's okay, but my XLV puts out a cleaner surf wave that's taller (but not quite as long) as the G. And I'd say most of the newer Supras easily put out better waves than the G (again, I'm only riding a G with factory ballast).Quote:

Your F150 would die trying to tow that big beast. My 2017 F250 Super Duty knows that my 18SA550 is back there. With boat and trailer you are at 7,200 lbs plus 450 lbs of gas, 600 lbs of lead, then your are at 8,250 lbs without any gear, full cooler of beer, etc. you can get to 9,000 lbs real quick.
