I guess you have your reasons.

Rick, I think any one of us Moomba fans would hold onto them too ( and I bet many more have). They made it to the internet and therefore (at least in my opinion), in the public domain.
If you need to be disappointed in someone it should be your dealer who released the photos - not Ramzak.
Thank you, Ramzak
LOL! You kill me. :)
I apologize for starting this thread, I had no idea it would ruffle so many feathers, and that was never my intention.
At most I had hoped to see a few close-up teaser shots, and maybe learn a few features of the boat.
I am sorry for any problems this discussion has caused.
Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.
17 pages of hype, some teaser pics of both a new Moomba and new Supra, what more could us SC faithful ask for? I know for me the tough decision will be if I'm ready for an upgrade!
I know somebody that can get you out for some demos when ready. I would take a long look at the new Moomba coming out, it's going to be sweet.Quote:

This same stuff has been happening every year since I can remember - and I became a member in 2003. People want to see the new line-up as soon as possible and they usually find it and share it....or it shows up on Wake World first. It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.
Here's alittle more on the new Boat. 22'6", 3,000 pounds ballast Std. Try to keep this here. haha. She is a Beast!
Brett,
No...Release date is looking like very early August, Formally. Some teases between now and then. Sorry for the delay. :(
Normal release are usually in August to allow dealers to complete their 2017 sales as strongly as they can - before we bring out the next years items. Dealers do see the boats in July, so they know what to order and there in lies the opportunity for inadvertent leaks. It happens. No biggie.
Really appreciate all the support we receive from our Owners!! You guys are absolutely the Best!
I'm just ready to see the new boats
Spent some time on the Moomba Max, all I'll say is HOMERUN!!!
I kinda like the names Mojo, Mondo and Helix is so/so. Craz is kinda cool. But there is already a Mojo Surf Max so having a boat called Max seems like it would create product confusion. Not worth the hassle. Should have called it the Elixir or something closer to Helix cuz it looks like that model.
Max Headroom
Hard to buy new models below MSRP as there are people standing behind you willing to pay MSRP and sometimes higher. I can't compete with those people. The first year model always has bugs to work out. I've bought first year models of other vehicles before for specific reasons and always wished I held out another year as the issues were corrected by then.
I was actually looking at a 2017 Craz, but based on the pricing they offered, I was expressing my disbelief that the new "Max" will be anywhere near the numbers posted previously. Not really an issue, as I don't have a dog in this fight, and have just about recovered from my new boat fever.
All good now.
If Max is based on Helix, abd Craz on the Mondo, then the Max will have fewer bells and whistles and should be priced lower than a Craz
New Roswell Triton racks on the '18 Mojo Pro.

Ugh, the 50-90 lb life jackets drive me crazy. They don't even come close to fitting kids in the 50-70 lb range. If she puts her hands in the air she could slide right out of it.
Agreed on racks, those are nice. Wonder if it eliminates the option to run dual racks?
Those racks were on at the boat show for the Pro and they are nice. I think the price to upgrade is kind of crazy but they are nice.Quote:

Chester, Not sure where this July 20 date came from...I think a dealer took a guess a few weeks back, and told some customers. Our goal is to release ongoing info over the next few weeks with the current plan to have most key info out by early August. Hope that helps.
Thanks Rick, guess I've been riding the rumor mill. I'm just super excited!!!

I don't understand the problem a lot of people have with the naming of Moomba boats. When you hear the Moomba names, there is no mistaking what's being discussed. Unlike with most all other manufacturers names being a lot of confusing letters and numbers!

Agree with that. When people post comparisons to X459 or PP#2 I have no idea what boat or brand they are talking about.
I follow nautique and their boats are super easy. Super air 210, super air 230. 21' and 23'. G21, g23, g25. Everyone knows g series and length follows. GS series is the same.
Malibu has vlx 21 and 22. Mxz 21 and 22. Lsv 23 and 25. Different hulls but the length is straight forward.
Axis has t and x series with length listed.
Moomba has some nice boats, but I think their naming system is less helpful compared to other companies. Not saying it's bad at all. It's actually neat that moomba tries to go a different direction. Also anyone in their right mind should do a little investigating into all of these brands before spending the kind of money these companies are charging for boats these days, imho.
