I am sure you are talking about OHIO then... right lol. We have enough of them here too. Were full.
Born and raised here too.

Got the Efoil out at Powell... and had some fun watching the race boats and the heli chasing them!

Water conditions were nice today! Heck probably nicest of the season lol. It was nice not seeing many bots out that’s for sure. Water temps are starting to drop here. It was 79 degrees which is about 4 degrees cooler than 2 weeks ago.
I love this camera perspective

It's not a secret if you tell everybody... https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...bce28bb2ff.gif
The real deal is finding the perfect spot. Hard to keep a 700 straight face dam a secret. Finding a free campground on the water is more difficult.

Having smooth water for once sure does help the wave!

Nice vid! What speed are you running?
Reason I ask is it looks like you’re really having to stand hard on the gas pedal (aka left foot) to keep the push. Maybe take it down .5 mph and see if it’s more comfortable so you can focus more on turns and such. As you progress with turns you’ll start getting a feel for pumping the board to get back in the pocket, and can speed it back up. Just a thought...
Speed was 10.8 (paddle wheel). When I got to 10.4 in the last the wave was steeper but felt more mushy or not as firm. Kind of like I was just sinking into it. I’ve tried 11.4 as well the other day and it seemed to also have less push. Yea I’m having to press really hard on my front foot regardless of board used. I’m not sure how many more trips I’ll get on the lake this year but I will try 10.4 again and see how it is. I’m going to add another 500 lbs via lead bags next year to hopefully help along with losing some weight. I can feel push but I have to work very hard at it and my leg catches on fire lol.
Ok for some reason it looked faster to me, but I’m gps speed vs paddle wheel so not sure if there is much (if any) difference.
I just watched the video again, your foot placement looks good, maybe more bending of the knees and less at the waist if that makes sense (trying to keep your torso upright).
TBH I need to verify my speedo is accurate using my phone. You're not the first person to say it looked fast. Could be the 60 fps making it seem that way being smoother video but idk. I verified it up to wakeboarding speeds when I had my triducer swapped out last year. Perhaps I need to tweak the settings some as I think I can adjust it small increments if it's off.
I also think i'm going to swap out my 540 midships and put the stock 1k rear bags in their place before I add lead and see how that looks.
Yea I see what you mean about my stance. I'll try and remember next time. Thank you!
On Saturday as usual we were in the water before the sun came up with all the fishermen in hopes to enjoy the “golden hour”.....well the fog didn’t lift until 9:15 so for 2 hours and 15 mins this was our view LOLhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...3eedff8ba2.jpg
It was still a beautiful morning and it was actually like glass until 11:30!!

No we have a few friends with lake houses on Conroe that really wanted us to buy there but we are just not a huge fans of the lake. It is a great lake distance wise for day trips but as you probably know unless you are out there crispy early (which is my favorite time) or late in the evening it is just a very choppy lake. Weekdays are much better but we didn't want a place that you could only enjoy on the weekdays. So our new place is 1 hour and 45 mins north of Conroe on Richland Chambers Reservoir.
57 water temp + 65 Air temp up here in Canada!
First timer and going ropeless!

That’s commitment!
I see that pic and makes me shudder. air is 90's today and water was 87 last saturday....
congrats on ropeless..
bang on yep; went out yesterday and was awesome. We had a first timer out there and she did awesome!
I always forget how crystal clear the water is!
The day finally came. We picked up our new to us 2017 Craz Surf Autowake 2.0 with 124 hours. Could not be happier that we were able to find a Moomba with modern surf tech locally let alone one that is in near perfect condition. Seller was going to sell off a bunch of ropes, boards, vests, etc. separate and he tossed them in for us. He was happy to see the boat going to someone who researched and targeted Moomba. On the way is a factory surf pipe (not taking chances with mine or anyone's kids), JL tower speakers, Gatorstep (the old rubberized stuff gets insanely hot in a hurry).

We quickly turned around and put a few hours on her. We got surfers up first attempt at making a wave and had a great time. Still got some things to learn about making the best wave on this boat but we are stoked with our success. Thankfully our weather should give us the opportunity for a few more rides before we say good buy for a few months.

Cant wait to into the community.
We were there in 2017 when we first got the boat and were just getting in to surfing. Just couldn't get enough, and surfed well into September. You need full kit in that lake at this point for sure, 6-8mm,booties/gloves/cap. My BIL was drinking straight from the lake. No water bottles required he said!
It's all about quality over quantity now though, early mornings or late evenings to avoid as many people as possible and probably not going in if isn't above 17C/63F water temp. Great to hear your friend enjoyed it.
