Jimmsch - they are only one wake, im not impressed/sarcasm.
His riding looks so smooth!!! That heel side pop he had 0:08 was huge and effortless. He looks so comfortable on the board. It is so enjoyable to watch wakeboarding and even cooler that he is shredding so hard at a young age. I really wish I was able to start that young. He really makes it look easy and smooth, that's when you know someone really feels confident. Thanks for the videos, I love them!!!!
That is was your Max right? The wake looks really good, nice shape, big, and rampy.
Thanks so much, he works very hard at this. He really wants to be good at it. This wasn't his usual coach, this guy had him at 65ft, he usually rides 55ft. Zandar isn't comfortable landing backrolls W2W yet anyway, so maybe the longer line is a good idea. Thanks for the compliments.
Not my Max, I sold that back to the wakeboard school I bought it from LOL. They needed it badly and made me an offer I could never refuse. This is behind a 2021 Max.
I will have a 2021 Max on order in a few weeks!
Got a new board for the kid

Keep em coming jimmsch! Finally got my 9yr older to ask for a wakeboard. Went and bought him one Tuesday and hit the water tonight. He got up the very first try! Can’t lie, I was a proud Dad. He is super athletic, but this is the first time he has shown any interest in wakeboarding. Maybe after watching Zander he will realize how fun this stuff can be.

totally awesome jcarter!! there are plenty more of those proud moments coming yur way!!
Finally got a chance to ride my new Neo today and it’s awesome! I should have done a 5’ Doomswell from the get-go. I think it just needs some slightly different fins and it will be perfect for me. Really fast once I set the edge on the wave it just rockets toward the boat. Wave was looking great a few times today too. Still need to figure out why I get this strange scar on the top of the wave a few times. It comes and goes and just strange. But man when the wave it on it’s ON!

Here's some video footage from yesterday on the Neo. At times you can see that damn scar form on the top of my wave. Other times it goes away. Any ideas what is causing that and my wave to change shape at times? I wonder if my plates are moving or something. Even though we only were able to go to the lake for a few hours before storms and water conditions turned to crap we still had a great time. My daughter cracks me up with these little hidden cameos she puts into the videos lol.

hack's Max has the best wave I have ever seen behind a Max and I have been in close to a dozen of them. Even the 2021 with the 4000 lbs stock ballast don't seem to have the wave hacknslash has
PS what program does she use for editing?
I'm thinking it might be related to that now that you mention it. The cleanest wave I've ever had was in a nice secluded cove but it was kind of small so you could only go so far before having to turn around. Everywhere else we are usually on big water so it's not the smoothest. You can hear and see the boat rock so perhaps that is the issue. We don't have the luxury of hitting the lakes early or late in the day unfortunately and this year there has been so much boat traffic i'm guessing due to covid and all the boat sales. about 3-4x more boats than in years past.
Unfortunately I'm having to use the GoPro app for editing as my only way to upload. My wife and daughter recently got me a Hero 8 for Father's day to replace my aging Hero 4. Only problem is I shoot in 2.7k or 4k so Youtube will give a better compression from the higher bit rate but the downside is I can't edit videos on my computer since it requires Windows 10 at those resolutions due to HEVC codec. The GoPro app isn't bad and will quickly make a montage or "story" as they call it in the app. It's a bit over the top that what I would normally edit but at least I can get some footage off the camera for now. I need to get another SSD and then I will forcefully accept Windows 10 in my life. I have it at work and hate it!
Found some nice water this weekend!
Here’s a rare picture of me. Been a few years. Big boat will still get up and move when you want it to.

Nice to see some slalom! I was behind a guy yesterday who was pulling a slalom skier which is kind of a rare sight these days on my lake. Kind of made me want to buy a cheaper beater ski but man I'm soooo far out of shape in my mid 40's compared to my teenage and early 20's haha. I gotta be able to work so not sure if I want to take the gamble on blowing out my poor knees these days but man did it look fun seeing the skier rip a few times and send up some spray! How did you like being pulled on the ski from the tower?
Oh I'm still feeling it today! I like pulling off the tower. Half my battle on a slalom is getting my rear out of the water so it pulls you up so much faster. Once up I'm not good enough to know the difference. Now I can say you have to watch the wake still, as its still there even at 34mph, which really isn't a surprise with that much weight/size of boat.
my old buddy at 50 slaloms at 36 behind his boomerang. makes me nervous to pull him but in 10 years NEVER saw him wipe.
back in his younger days touching shoulders was common.
not for me......
Just got home from a rather epic trip on the Snake River, Hells Canyon area. Air temp upper 90's, water temp mid 70's. Unless you venture up Clearwater river that dumps into the Snake. We found that to be a balmy 54 degrees but my crazy kids still jumped in.
My son getting a little too close for comfort for my daughter who had the GoPro back there to get some up close footage.

It may seem like a crime to tube on this water but it was like that all day long just about everywhere we went... I had them going 30mph at one point and whipping them outside the wake. Like riding on a sheet of glass.

There must be something about the wave forming on smooth water going upstream with a decent current because we had one of best waves ever without being totally loaded down with ballast or people.
I almost rode away from the 3, closest I've come.

My daughter was playing around seeing how far back she could get on the wave. And kept going. And going.

And we pulled off some double surfing finally.

And not just for a few seconds. We rode for a while. Then my son jumped in for a while until he tried to get run over.

Hard to drive away from this kind of water but we'll definitely be back.

looks like a great trip berg.....
we found on the fox river in gb the wave was different whether going up or down stream. crazy...
Hot damn that's some nice water Berg.
I went on a week long MTB trip with my son to Schweitzer and Whitefish. Mid trip we scored a ride on a 2019 SE on Hayden lake in ID.
We were wishing we had the boat as we were staying on Whitefish lake...
Then we came home and loaded up the new camper with the boat for a quick weekend trip to Central OR.
Luckily we avoided the smoke from the nearby wildfires... https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...34e9337099.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...bd1e5a0815.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...6911da236e.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d9b785cb3a.jpg

Nice wave Z!
BTW I think I finally realized what has been causing my wave to look messed up the past few outings. For some reason I was thinking regular side was 70 but after doing some searching I think default is 65 on that side, maybe even 60 and the goofy side was 70. Can anyone with a Max confirm stock surf tab settings for each side? I went back and looked at some of my footage when I did a demo on a 2018 Max and regular side surf tab was at 60. Wave was small with stock ballast but was clean and did not have a scar on it that comes and goes. I vaguely remember fooling around with higher surf tab settings about a month ago like an idiot and should have kept it like I had it. Last weekend I noticed my regular side was set to 70 which I think is what is causing the scar, smaller and less clean wave than I've had when I first installed the wakemakers upgrade. Now i'm itching to get back to the lake to see if that is my issue. Almost positive regular side tab should not be at 70 and if so that's crazy how much a difference of 5-10 increments can m
oh come on! you're gonna be itching to get back to the lake no matter what
man oh man... spent almost a year stationed in kalispell montana back in '94/95. it is hands down the most beautiful place I have ever lived and this was prior to it being overran by outsiders... rented a house on 15acres in Kila on capps rd and shoulda bought it..
wish I would have had a boat back then. flathead is amazing but lake macdonald in glacier is surreal......
I went back and watched the demo I took in 2018 and also the sea trial of my boat and both settings had it at 60 for regular. Man I feel like an idiot fighting myself for nearly a month driving myself crazy lol.
Where did you have your lead distributed? I plan to get 500 lbs or so but my poor old truck is going to hate me.
Thanks for sharing the cool trip pics.
In those pics I believe I had:
150lbs in the bow (maybe 200)
100 in the port rear locker tray
100 on the port stringer (bw the rear and midship bag)
50 on the starboard stringer
200 on the floor under the rear bench seat (maybe 150; slightly biased to the port side)
All ballast 100% full
1/3 tank of fuel
one driver and one passenger
Surf tab 60; wakeplate 0; gps speed 11.0
SL, but who's counting? [emoji6] https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...68fbdd89eb.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...9bbc816f63.jpg
