:D :D :D Now that is funny!!!!
Mainly the issue was from washing the boat and cockpit. The Yamaha storage compartments were all carpet and not the rubber lined like the Moomba. So carpet could get soaked real quick. I plugged mine soon after I bought it and never had to worry over it again.
Did you tie into your court lights for the cupholders and speaker lights?
I did, I removed the 2 courtesy lights, drilled them out from the backside (giggity) and glued in single rgb led’s.
I don’t believe I took any pics of the process but these are the single led’s I used:
XSPC Single 2x5x5mm RGB LED (4-Pin) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0735J8PCJ...p_mob_ap_share
What was the process to tie the cupholders into the court lights wiring ?
I just used the courtesy lights switch to power the wetsounds rgb controller. If you aren’t going rgb you can just tap into the positive and negative wire going to the courtesy lights and wire the cup holders directly off that.
I'm doing just blue - gotta figure out which wire is the courtesy lights - i glanced up under the console and it was hard to tell what was what. Thanks for your help - you've done a great job with your boat.
You can just find the wiring right at the back of the courtesy light, tap into it then daisy chain to the new LEDs. That's what I did. Don't have to mess with anything under the dash if you're not doing RGB. I tapped into the wiring on each side of the boat. Pretty simple. I also left my courtesy lights w/o power since I never use them, and I didn't want white lights going along with my blue LEDs.
So would these be the updated bags? I forgot to check my build date on the boat.

So the ballast upgrade was a success. Had a nice wave with plenty of push with just my wife in the boat and 1/2 tank of gas. Can’t wait to see the wave with a full crew.
I started filling and soon realized I forgot a plug on one of the stock bags. Duct tape saved the day!

Only good pic I got of the wave (without a rider) features my wife’s hind end, but figured y’all wouldn’t mind. This was with the stock bow bag full with 400lbs of lead up front, port side 100% and starboard around 80% @ 11.5mph, wake plate around 25% and surf tab @ 45%.

What were your thoughts on your sound deadening mods now that you had a chance to get the boat out? Wave looks good!
To follow up on the ballast install, I went ahead and added a T and another fitting to the vent of the 720’s.

Everything worked great but they didn’t seem to drain as well as expected. One of the check valves didn’t seem to be working, when I put my hand over the thru hull it finally started to suck the rest of the water from the 720 through the rear bag and into the pump. I’ll have to make sure I didn’t install it backwards. Part of the issue could be an excessive amount of air in the system since it was the first time out.
I also realized the stock front bag has 2 vents/thru hulls so I need a second check valve up there.
I just put the check valve on after (distal) to the y’d connection of the 720 bag spliced into the front bags vent.
Edit. Nevermind, just realized you were talking about the front bag. I’ll have to go through your install, didn’t recall you doing the anything to the front bag. Not going to lie, I don’t even know how to access that sucker.

If you have time could you take a pic of the bow side of the stock rear bag? I didn't look at our correctly when I asked you before and ordered the same set up you have but think now I may have to sell / return it and just order the update kit with the larger rears. Anyone want to do this upgrade with stock rears? I'll give you a deal lol
Were u able to access the transom vent area without drilling?
So the wife has pointed out (on several occasions) a fatal flaw in the max with the bow filler cushion......no cupholders.

Problem solved! Haven’t tried it with the big yeti cups yet but I think it’s a winner. Easily removable too.

Haha thanks for reminding me of the cup holders. My wife said the same thing and was like where are the cup holders up here (we use the bow filler every outing). I’ll have to get me some of those!
I guess they're functional. Not the direction I would have gone, but it gets the job done.
Personally, I would have busted out my hole saw and put in a pair of cupholders that were flush mounted into the deck. My XLV has a pair of cupholders for the bow that are flushed into the deck at the base of the windshield. For the Max, you'd probably have to put them on the front corners of the bow deck. PLENTY of room there. In fact, one of the things that bugs me about the Max is that in the area between the tip of the bow and the back of the front bow seats is DEAD SPACE where you can't access it. Total wasted opportunity for even more storage IMO. Making that a compartment for dock lines, anchor, etc would have been so much better than making it so it's impractical to impossible to access that space.
Where would you even add permanent cup holders to a Max in the bow if using the cushion? The entire bow is upholstered with no flat fiberglass surfaces other than the gunnels. I kind of wished they added them to the front of the filler cushion basically in the same place as the cup holders they cover up.
Get 4 cup holders from Trayson & mount them here....[emoji1689]https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b2e9a1bfda.jpg

The blue arrows is where I was thinking. Don't know if there's space at the red arrows but definitely worth considering too
These are the type of hinge:Quote:

But there is one major problem.... there is no cross support to mount the rearward hinge to on the max. Only solution would be to build one from hdpe.
Thinking about adding RGB lighting to my Max in the off season. What controller do you guys recommend or should I just buy a roll of RGB LEDs from Amazon that come with their own controller?
I used the wetsounds music controller, but I’m sure the others will work fine too.
I took a queue from you and lithttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...594463f8af.jpg up my speakers. Good tip on the led lights. The best part is the boat was pre-wired for them, so the install was super easy.

Awesome inspiring mods to those interiors of those boats. I will probably use them myself!
