We used to go back and forth, but primarily lv now. We drop at pilot knoll in highland village.

Finally got the boat in the water today. The FAE really quieted the boat down a lot.
I'm not sure why, but even with the NauticLaugic GPS, my surf wave doesn't form until about 13.5 mph. Between 13.7-14.2 the wave shape doesn't change much.
It's amazing how the pictures and video make the wave look longer and not as tall as it looks in person. As I was driving and playing with Nauticurl positioning, I kept thinking my wave doesn't look like the pictures of others I've seen. Then I looked at the pictures and...yes it does. [emoji23]

All white is sweet. When I was boat shopping the dealer had a 2017 Mondo in all white. I thought about it...
All white. Money. Love it!

It's a GPS unit from NauticLaugic. I was going to double check it with an app but apparently I had deleted it. I'm going to check it again tomorrow.
That parking spot don't suck at all.Quote:

That tint is damn good looking on that white boat!Quote:

What's a good app to use? Everything I have tried don't match anywhere close to the car speedo.Quote:
have you verified it against a GPS speedo app on your phone?
I use the app speed box and it’s accurate both on land and water.
I can tell you that my car speedo is most definitely off. it's bad, like 5mph different. In Europe, there are laws that say that a car speedo can't under-report the speed, so they mostly over-report it. annoying to say the least.
I've used the GPS Speedo app. in the car, I have GPS on my radar detector that reports my current speed and it's consistent with the speed that displays on the Waze app. So I know that my car is wrong.
GPS won't be accurate if there is any water current without compensating

Ready to remember what the water feels like this weekend
double header in Portland! 85 degrees last night (before a 30 degree temp swing as it's 55 degrees today!).
Of course, after motoring to the play spot, the first priority for the wifey is getting the "girl pic". Always happy to oblige.
https://i.imgur.com/SR5Ni8p.jpg
Then a wakeboard set for a buddy. Not a bad wave for just the 1180 bag filled.
https://i.imgur.com/eZo69kc.jpg
After battling with some tennis elbow and throwing out her back, the wife was VERY happy to be back surfing. Her first pull of the season.

I was next on deck. Tested out my Hurley Phantom 303 wetsuit. Pretty amazing. My shorts were completely dry underneath and my rash guard was almost completely dry too. Wetsuits have come a long ways. The water temp was mid 50s, and I could have easily justified the drysuit, but figured I'd test out the new wetsuit.

After getting in a wakeboard set and taking off his wetsuit, my buddy didn't want to get back in the water. He'd just bought a ONeill drysuit off CL and the night before he ripped the wrist seal. That's the exact reason I don't let anyone else use my drysuit.
So it was up to me to finish off the night surfing...

Goodnight from Portland.

Oh, and when you see the girls in the boat taking a selfie, it's the perfect time for a photobomb!

Went back out to play around a bit, and remembered my Gopro this time.
Pics and video taken with cruise set at 15.0, but GPS app showed 11.8. Is there a way to adjust the speed on the computer? It's been off by the same amount whether the input is GPS or paddlewheel.

Since I believe that the Nautiue Logic unit is mimicing a paddlewheel signal but with the GPS being the source of the input, it doesn't surprise me that your readout would be the same. Under the dash, probably over by the ignition should be a little dial knob. that allows you to adjust your speedo reading. go out and use your app again and turn the dial until the speedo reads the same as the GPS on your app, then you should be good to go.
Ah, then you need to go into the settings of your speed/cruise. I know that on my Perfect pass, I have the ability to adjust the digital readout of the speed that's showing on that unit. it's in the area where I'd adjust where I adjust KDW and NN I believe (the agressiveness and sensitivity of my Perfect pass). I have to imagine that whatever system is in your boat can do the same. You just have to get into the speed calibration menu.
looks like this thread might provide some insight. you're looking for "offset".

So pumped for 2 full days on the water!! Finally get to try my new Doomswell, and the kids are asking about trying wakesurfing! Gonna be a good summer. Pictures to follow... lol

Unreal unicorn day in Texas. No other boats in the cove for at least an hour.

Beautiful day on Livingston! Got some boarding, surfing, and cruising in. Trying to teach the little one to fish now. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...732e063d51.jpg
Heidi learned something new today.

Was a beautiful day on Conroe... was surprisingly smooth for the amount of boats out. Daughter started it off right, first ride of the season for her. Popped up like an old pro. She went for some good wake crossings and had a major face plant.

My wife boarded a few rounds, but never got any pics somehow.
I got out on the new Doomswell. It’s fun, it wants to turn and spin even with all 3 fins. It lacks a little push though. I hopped on my old Byerly just to check if the wave was still there.
Back to the Doomswell, I built a rider profile and we just played with it for an hour with no autowake. Got a pretty massive wave rolling. Now I wanna pull the outer fins and see if I can skim the new kid!
First ride on the new toy!

Somehow didn’t get any rope-less pics.

A friend and we had a awesome wave today with 8 people on board and 3 little people.

The wifey getting some ride time. The water was 83 which was real surprising since it was 72 last Thursday.

Lol... some days are better than others!
Yea, I filled center and surf side 100%, and 90% non surf. Plate all the way up and the tab at 70. Wave was instantly better with the boat slammed. Autowake always wants to drain to hit its #’s. That’s annoying.

This is what I run goofy
On regular side I run 11.0 to 11.2 smartplate 10
P 100 c 100 s 95 starboard tab 60
I don’t ever run autowake when we surf only when we wakeboard.

Finally dipped the tub into some brisk upper midwest 52 degree water. Our ice just departed last week.....not cool. FIVE full weeks behind last year.
Some cool stuff: Corson Piper's surf rack mounted on my original swivels with fingers removed--to keep fancy boards safe. Going to do the same thing on the other side too. Added benefit is that I cannot scrape these off coming into the hoist if I am a little forgetful that day....

Also first run with the fresh 1280# rear sacs, upgraded from the Sumo 1000#s from a year ago. I had zero time to tweak today due to the whole family in the boat, so this will clean up. The sheer volume of water being moved by the boat is astounding. 5110# ballast in a 2016 SE. Can't wait to get on that!
