hey jeff i've only been out 5 times since my i had my surgery cause last summer i took off... but how does yours feel now that your back out on it. do you go balls to the wall or take it easy? my confidence in jumps are starting to come slowly.

Man I had to have the microfracture surgery later and that was causing a lot of pain and weakness until I had that surgery. Since that I just go nuts right away. It feels good. I strengthen it like crazy. I spend a lot of time doing balance things and strengthening my hips so that it does not happen again. To get used to taking the hits I would run to the park and jump off of a picnic table and practice landing on the ground with good form. I have a friend who blew up his knee about a year before me and when I was sitting at home being depressed he said the best advice I have ever received "Only sissies make it through life without blowing up a knee." Hehe. Just keep plugging away you will get comfortable again. I think you need to really build up your balance, i.e single leg activity, and strength.
p90x might be a good idea.
I have been doing it for about 2 months now just because I wanted to get in shape and it has really tightened everything up and gave me better balance.

All right, you're invited too! Yeungs are Yeungling lager-- the oldest brewery in America in Pennsylvania (there's a Yeung brewery right in Tampa so we get it pretty cheap here. They also make a black & tan that I like in the colder months-- you know-- when it gets down to 50 at night). I think even our neighbors to the north would appreciate it. It's not Molson, but what is?

I remember once in high school when it was cold out, and I didn't want to get in the water, so I did a dock start, just hopping off when the rope was about tight. When done they swung mew towards the dock & I just pulled up alongside it & sat down. Never even got my shorts wet! This would've been on a Skurfer I guess.
That would be pretty cool to do. Especially up here in Indiana in October when I'm still out on the water with no Drysuit. I was out last October with nothing but a shorty wetsuit in 55 degree weather because I wanted to learn to wakeboard before going to Iraq.Quote:
