Gus.
Man I had to have the microfracture surgery later and that was causing a lot of pain and weakness until I had that surgery. Since that I just go nuts right away. It feels good. I strengthen it like crazy. I spend a lot of time doing balance things and strengthening my hips so that it does not happen again. To get used to taking the hits I would run to the park and jump off of a picnic table and practice landing on the ground with good form. I have a friend who blew up his knee about a year before me and when I was sitting at home being depressed he said the best advice I have ever received "Only sissies make it through life without blowing up a knee." Hehe. Just keep plugging away you will get comfortable again. I think you need to really build up your balance, i.e single leg activity, and strength.
p90x might be a good idea.
I have been doing it for about 2 months now just because I wanted to get in shape and it has really tightened everything up and gave me better balance.
Me and me in action. First ski of the year
Me and Minnie Me, his first time up at 5 years old
Kaneboat, I'm 5'5" and yes he is a good size 5 year old. It's a good thing your talking through your computer, that was out of line Sir!!
Watch out Kaneboats, T100 is like a Pitt Bull. Medium sized but built like a brick s--t house. Also a generally mellow individual untill provoked. The dudes forearms are as thick as my bicepts! Easy boy! Down boy! Bad Kaneboats! Bad! Best to not provoke the vertically challenged! :D
Tell you what-- soon as it gets cold up there you pack up yourself and that big ole boy of yours and head down here. I'll take you guys surfing till you can't stand it anymore. Then we can down some Yeungs till the fire goes out and discuss this. I'm not exactly Manute Bol either.
Sounds good to me! :D
:rolleyes:If I ever get down to Tallahassee I'll take you up on that offer, if Yeungs is beer, even better (we drink it like water up here) and if you have tower lights I'll surf all night.;) I'm heading out to the cabin......Out!
Tight lines & Fat wakes!
Unfortunatly once he tastes that swamp water Yeung it may be came on again :D
No worries, we'll bring Canadian beers.
That would be the safest, just guard it with your life :)
All right, you're invited too! Yeungs are Yeungling lager-- the oldest brewery in America in Pennsylvania (there's a Yeung brewery right in Tampa so we get it pretty cheap here. They also make a black & tan that I like in the colder months-- you know-- when it gets down to 50 at night). I think even our neighbors to the north would appreciate it. It's not Molson, but what is?
If Canuckle Head and I came down there, you would have to have a lot of that "Yeungling lager-- the oldest brewery in America in Pennsylvania " beer around. Like I said, we drink Molson or any other Canadian beer up here like water...EH!
I'll have plenty. You just let me know when. Also, don't make fun of me for wearing my shorty wetsuit when the water is below 65.
Took a buddy from Indy out with me. He got some good pics of me on the water. Nothing fancy but clear.
I don't have much hair to get wet. Pros to being a soldier.
Thank you for being a soldier!!!
I'm not one, but love my short hair ;)
I remember once in high school when it was cold out, and I didn't want to get in the water, so I did a dock start, just hopping off when the rope was about tight. When done they swung mew towards the dock & I just pulled up alongside it & sat down. Never even got my shorts wet! This would've been on a Skurfer I guess.
That would be pretty cool to do. Especially up here in Indiana in October when I'm still out on the water with no Drysuit. I was out last October with nothing but a shorty wetsuit in 55 degree weather because I wanted to learn to wakeboard before going to Iraq.
Been playing with photoshop some.
As well thanks for your service to our county.
Cool sequence :)
sums it up for me right now!
