Yes. I'm out there all the time. My boat stays at EZ. Usually, you'll find me at Palm filling up, or surfing north of 1097 in the cove. Yesterday we surfed the whole lake tho. I cherish those days. They're so rare.

Look for old blue moomba LSV, my dad lives in Walden so he’s out all the time. I’ll be out of town until July so my Mojo will be no where in sight.

Yeah it especially shitty right now due to covid-19. I normally do a 4 week rotation, 4 on and 4 off but since there is not commercial air travel to Guyana at the moment we are having to fly charters which apparently gets expensive. Combine that with what we have to do to get around the Guyanese government travel ban and we are doing 2 weeks of quarantine at a hotel in Houston, 6 weeks on the rig working, and 4 weeks off. Hopefully after one 12 week cycle we can get back to normal.

First....Hell NO LOL Low water drone shots are for the Pros, and the Rich. Its one of the scariest things to do (for me anyway). Even at 50 feet, you still have to turn the bottom sensors off, because theyll pick up reflections off the water. Then you add wind in the mix, ect ect. The closer you get, the less room for error. NOPE...not this guy LOL I do plan on using a selfie stick with the gopro soon, but I need to get some floats for it first.
Honestly, the best tell of an incredible wave, is a video of a min 170lb rider getting way back on the wave, and surfing back to the sweet spot. If there on a skim board, its even better. Anyone can get a great Pic with the right angle, videos with no surfer, or a kid surfing. My 10yr old can surf 30 feet back on stock ballast, and Ill get that perfect angle of him doing it ;)
That being said, I really dont know. Id just be guessing. I run slower on Conroe, because the water is not as smooth, or consistent there, so I go for a taller wave with more push, to help with the bumps/bouncing. I feel like I have a nice 15-20' surfable pocket. Theres plenty of room. On the River, prob 25-50% more, because its so much smoother. but Ive recently started running slower all around. You realize nobody is utilizing the wave 30' back. except to occasionally recover. Everyone wants to be in the sweet spot, with the most push. You just need a big enough pocket to pump, and gain some speed for a trick. Or in our case....Attempt a trick LOL.
When you were running 10mph, did you actually surf the wave, or did you only look at it from the back of the boat? Back of the boat shots can be deceiving too. It can look like a really short wave, but when you surf it, its actually a surfable wave. A nice 10' wave is better than a 15' no push wave lol. I always start my session in the flats, with the rope, and just look at the wave. You can usually tell if it has a lot of power. If it looks weak to me, I always tell the driver to slow down. 99% of the time when I make changes, its slowing my speed. I shoot for Push first, then Length. Length is pointless if its not surfable. Sometimes you just have to take what the day offers you. I dont let it frustrate me anymore. Consistency is really tough.
So, you have >6000 lbs ballast. Did you opt for the 440 engine? If not, do you feel the 400 handles this weight fine? Guess you use a 14-15 pitch prop for added torque. How did you fit 1000 lbs under the cabin seats? how about the iBS. I have the IBS and it is 500lbs and fills the whole space, in fact, pops out the cupholders.
I know, lots of questions. Just curious, I think that's the most ballast I've seen in a 22-23 ft boat.
The SUMO MAX pump is super fast and Wakemakers has adapters for most fittings.
4250GPH....it fills & drains FAST!

Great job on the edit DNIX. I thought you had that 360 nailed!
We finally got out for the first time this year. Zandar looked a little rusty but he managed his wake to wake 180's before it was over even though we were done filming by then.

Jimmsch,, what is your set up for wakeboarding? Is that a Max?
Zandar is only 10. He rides around about 55ft of rope at 20mph with 60% ballast on all 3 bags. Wake plate below 5. His training partner is 25 he rides 75ft back with 100% ballast in all 3 bags at 23mph wakeplate below 5. I cant ride, bum knee. Yes it's a Max, see my sig
Nice. My teenagers just started wakeboarding. Our lake is always too rough tho. They prob only have 4 sessions so far. Ive been using autowake at 50% amp. I thought the wake was way too tall at 100% amp. Now Im thinking I need shorten the rope for them.

Oops. Just realized the vid was on private.
Thanks man, he works really hard at this and being in the northeast he doesn't really get a full year. Here is where he left off last September.

Went for an evening boat ride yesterday and somehow avoided the weather moving through:

Man your little dude is shredding it! My son turns 5 this sept and while he enjoys riding on the surf board with me, he has not really shown much interest in wakeboarding. I want to get him in some actual lessons maybe next summer.

Thanks man. Zandar started when he was 5 on a kneeboard. The rule was he had to try to get up on a wakeboard 3 times before he could ride the kneeboard. By the end of the summer he forgot about the kneeboard. He first got up on a wake surf board by himself the following year at 6. Wakeboarding is his 2nd favorite, behind snowboarding.
Today I got to finally sign the lease and pick up my lock for our new storage unit which should be ready to move in on next Friday. Our unit already has the walls and door installed but we have to wait until the rest of the units have their electricity in. Having 40’ of storage is going to be nice and I went and I’ll have 3 different launch ramps within 5 mins from the storage facility! It’s going to be nice to not have to tow hours and save the wear and tear from my truck and trailer.

I always wonder where the people come from on holiday weekends, but very happy most of them only come out a few weekends out of the year. Not sure why we even bother going on holiday weekends any more. The main reason we went this weekend was weather related, only half decent day in a while.
So I’m not 100% ocd but I do like a clean boat. Set up one more item in the shop to help with that and makes it easier, plus I already had the blower so why not use it. Drys out the bilge nice and fast now.
