A decent 4/3 in your temps would be perfect. Neoprene booties for surfing are great! I personally use a pair of farmer johns and a heater top. Keep up with the cool photos!

Awesome, need all the advice on cold gear I can get. Neoprene booties are genius, forgot about them even though I have used them diving a long time ago, makes perfect sense. I recall them being quite cheap as well.
The little one and I wandered up to my dads place on lake Conroe for a couple days. Went for an evening cruise today with the neighbor, then hit up Busters for some awesome Crawfish and finally got some fishing in for Nolan. Good times even though we didn’t get into the water. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...91aa9252dd.jpg

Nice fish pics.
It's more like the rule of 85 to 90 for me up here. Or really it's the rule of "it's not raining and it's not freezing temps overnight"
Or maybe some neoprene socks. the neoprene booties keep your feet warm, but the rubber soles on them take away a great deal of the board feel and control. And you can't use booties with wakeboard bindings. Although with my closed toe bindings, I've been fine in water temps in the low 40s or even in the upper 30s.
I have 3mm booties, they do fine surfing, just got the thinner 1.5mm socks on your recommendation Trayson. Not all of us are as hardened as you guys up in the PNW... lol
I always think the same when I see it from the back side... she’s deep!
Just wrapping up our trip to Havasu, nothing but a great experience - temps stayed in the mid-80’s pretty much all week.

havasu is one of my favorite places to visit. love golfing there at london bridge and parker(emerald canyon) is one of my top5 favorite courses of all time.
Again, I know it’s not surf related, but I had a blast night offshore fishing with a couple buddies from work. One of em bought a new Tidewater 280, twin 250’s, and we ran it hard yesterday.
Pulled up some monster red snapper.

Oh and a PSA for all the southerners, some people think rattlers can’t swim. They can, and do.

Looks like an amazing time. A buddy just got a Jupiter 38 HFS and I’m dying to get out on it.
Do you know what the allure of center consoles is? Other than that they’re just go-fast fishing boats lol. He sold a 44’ Luhrs for about the same price as the center console and they’re both sick boats but seems like the Luhrs (and boats like it) have a ton more cabin space and protected cockpit areas out of the elements.
Here’s some pics from dolphin season, took my Dad down the Keys for father’s day.

broke,
that rattler swimming is EXACTLY why I never made the tow to put the boat in anderson ranch reservoir above boise. it's loaded with rattlers around the banks due to the blm land around it and spring/summer it's open season on swimmers...
Texas and swimming rattlers, Florida and gators......WTF?!?

He keeps it at a rack storage facility in Freeport. Nice place.

Matt, no idea the allure. I’m with you. When you’re talking being 30-100 miles out, id like to have a cabin, or more protected helm too. You’re out there traveling for hours one way to fish.
However, the smaller CC’s are more manueverable when you’re on the spot.
Brought home a new board today will swinging by my dealer. This should be just a weeeee bit of an upgrade over my Liquid Force Fish and Hyperlite Broadcast lol. Can’t wait to try out the Nubstep!

I hate snakes but living here in the south they are definitely around. Most stay to themselves but a few years ago one was hanging out by the bungee rope between my old boat and a buddies. The wives were swimming while we were out surfing. When we came back all of them were out of the water and this guy was staying real curious of them...

We have these things too but thankfully not too many are on the lakes I boat on!

That guy wins vacation... if you’re a fisher. Lol
First surf of the year! Air 58°, water 43°. [emoji1690] Wave on my buddy's new Max was sweet!!
Stock ballast +1000 lbs lead midships = killer wave. We didn't play with moving weight at all. More tweaking and this thing will be amazing. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...bcb78cf0a7.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...fcee559dda.jpg

Taking delivery next week or the week after hopefully!!!!!
lakes are still ice, but can't wait any longer. Gonna give her a nice coat of sealant inside and out and load it up for the first day the ice subsides.
