Beautiful color combo. I have to admit, playing with the boat builder I could never find a combo in which I liked the pacific blue. Seeing it in real life and with that combo, it looks fantastic. Its a head turner. I guess it is really hard to appreciate the true depth of the colors from a computer screen.Quote:

Personally I think your boat will look bad ass in the gray with red accents, and it'll be unique. Go with silver/blue if you want it pretty 😜
I wanted grey for the flooring at first, but I read that it was harder to keep clean. Where we boat, the water can get a little muddy after a big rain, so the brown made more sense. The contrast of the brown has grown on me so much that I would not want grey now. I like the red accent choice on the brown- looks good

I know there is a big debate on whether or not to get the surf pipe, but my question is if they are flawed from the factory? My dealer told me not to order one because the two he ordered in the past both had weld failures, practically sinking a new boat. He thought there may have been a bad batch??
I fall into the court of it being a must-have, but don't want to run the risk of it failing my first summer out.
Any opinions or experiences with the factory surf pipes?

Factory surf pipe is the best and least expensive pipe you will get.
I have never seen a failed factory pipe. But I suppose it’s possible.
If it ever failed, at least it’s covered by warranty.
Aftermarket is worse. Several cracked FAE pipes on the forum.
I wouldn’t own a boat without a surf pipe.

we don't own a boat that has ever had one and don't see the value in it but understand those that do.
as larry pointed out factory is the way to go. no question IF something happens it's warranty and no question from the aftermarket standpoint.
there have been several posts on this and other forums on another aftermarket cracking. not sure on price but I think it's about a wash factory vs aftermarket so I'd stick with factory......
The surf pipe will quiet the exhaust note and may help with CO emissions near the back of the boat underway. Helps a lot for emissions on older boats without catalytic converters but not so much on the newer boats. It does nothing at idle when the boat is idling at a standstill and there are common reports that a power loss is experienced, usually is easy to spot as a slower top speed. Many have installed an aftermarket kit commented that they also experienced higher fuel consumption. I’m not sure what Moomba uses but lots of the “factory installed “ systems are sourced from FAE.
