You hit it on the head, the slope is the issue. Digging into the slope and putting up a crosstie retaining wall so we can have a 20X20 area for a trampoline. Aiden ( our 8yo son) convinced Jacob( his 4yo brother) that we needed to ask Santa for a trampoline.

we have a sunken tramp in the back yard and it is great. I would not go back to above ground. Kids will love it.
Yea, ours would have green lizards living in it.
I want to put one of those snowplow attachments on my rider and drive around the neighborhood here.
Just having some fun with the family.
Lake is getting a bit low though, may not see the Summer out this year (Lake Eildon in Victoria Australia).

Did try my hand at surfing, didn't manage to get up yet (real beginner, too old and too heavy probably) but I'm sure my arms are about an inch longer after many attempts! Kids of course got up first go ever....
