Using the clip pin in one end of the arm allows mine to fold pretty much flat so storage shouldn't be an issue at all.
With the cheap cutting boards I think I'm only in for $60 and that is for BOTH the regular and goofy gates!! Hands down the best $60 I have ever spent on any boat!!!
Based In your experience, any reason I couldn't cut the gate out so that one works for both reg and goofy?

Read the details on the orig post -- that's what RMK did I just didn't want all that hassle so it's definitely possible with careful measuring.

Cut out that goes around the platform bracket is 9 1/2" x 6".
Though I did find the first flaw...the bottom of the cutout is only 3" wide and the 1/2" material gave out and broke off. Thankfully the bungee held it until we stopped and I could recover the rest of the gate. So it seems that a thicker material is needed at least on that section.
But not to be deterred and loose the rest of the holiday weekend, I found some scrap decking and screwed it on!!! Creates a bit more spray but still does the job until I can get a more permanent fix. :)

Definitely, but the addon got us thru the weekend!! Now time to find some 3/4" material and fix it up.

Honestly not sure what really broke it. Didn't really do anything different, but that section that broke is the smallest. Oh well, just have to rebuild with a bit thicker material.
