I emailed the pictures to the company, going to see if I can get them to make some Moomba mounts for us. If not, I'll make some for myself its just aluminum bar and a few tapped holes, just be nice for anyone else ordering if they go ahead and make an optional set of mounts. I'll let you all know what they say.
Great pics Bergemaister!
Forgot one. No complaints on these days...

Awesome! Congratulations to both of you! And his mom who I am assuming was the scream in the background! LOL!

Don't often see toe side front roll as a first invert. Very nice, stoke level 1000!

July vacation on Norris. 2008 outback V still getting it done!
So earlier in the July post I was raving about my wife going ropeless and how proud I was of her. We went out with Knoxmojo right before we went on vacation and he really got her the last 10% or so that I couldn't explain or show her. She was killing it with him on her skim style board. I had bought her a phase 5 wahoo earlier this year and we both had a hard time on it with the big fins installed so it's been sitting collecting dust. Well we took it out today and swapped to the 1.75 nubit fins and man what a difference! Here she is absolutely killing it behind the boat! https://i.ibb.co/dPgZHBF/20230724-155247.jpg
Girl is almost into another area code way back there! When I pointed out how far back she was she asks if that's OK to do. Had to explain that her riding in the back 40 of that wave is about as awesome as it gets. https://i.ibb.co/0GyY9hg/20230724-155250.jpg
She was so excited and is loving her new board after the fin swap. She is riding better than me and stayed on it working her way up to the boat and then way back for about 6 minutes straight which I sure can't do with all my screwing around. I just wanna shout out to Knoxmojo for helping us with our wave and getting her Killin it and to Eder for this sweet lil board shes riding.. Today was a game changer for her and for us. If she wasn't hooked before she sure is now.
congrats to your cfo for the progress.... amazing....
and a shout out to knox... it's a whole lotta fun to teach a noob how to make it happen..
Yes congrats to her! I still can’t get my wife willing to give it another try. We go on vacation next week so I’m hoping my boat is fixed and she gives it another try this time. I’ve given her some good videos I found to help teach her the basics better than I can explain it and hopeful the vids will help. She finally got her boating license too, so now at least I won’t feel dirty when she’s driving the boat for me lol.
Don’t have any pictures to add right now but tonight while backing the trailer into a parking spot I went too far back and hit a temporary fence post post made of rebar with the wake plate and ripped the Lenco actuator bracket off the back of the boat! Fun vacation!

Oh no! Hope you can at least get it fastened enough to be functional for the vacation week.

I don’t think there is any fixing without completely fixing lol. I did find online that I can buy a bracket for like $17 from west marine. Holding I can source one locally and fix it tomorrow to at least be back on the water Friday.

Here are some pictures of exactly what happened. No luck on sourcing the part locally. I bought one on Amazon that will be at my Houston Friday. Got to get it fixed Sunday as we have family coming in town Monday evening for a week on the lake.

Man as a last resort. Take those screws out and put some large fender washers over the plastic on the outside of the mount and put it back. 3 may hold it in place pertty well. All the force when in use will be pushing into the transom and not pulling away.

Make sure to seal up that hole where the cable goes through no matter what the end fix is.

Well we’ve been on the water every day since Saturday so it may be a nice little break. If it were Sunday and this was the only option I may do that.
The hole where the cable passes through is sealed by a small rubber grommet that compresses between the actuator bracket and the transom.

Was a weird weather day last Sat ..blue sky and storms all around. Got hit with a rain storm on our way back to the lake side lodge we were staying at.

Right after I cleaned the entire boat I decided that would be a perfect time to punch a huge hole.in it for a trash can. Grabbed a hole saw and went at it.

https://i.ibb.co/dpDVBY2/20230727-072219.jpg this is the 3d printed trach chute that Chris prints out. Has a matching threaded nut you screw on from the back. This one has a flap on it as well which is nice so it's not just an open hole.

Nothing like the feeling of drilling a hole in a perfectly good boat.
Chris is the man for coming up with these gadgets.

The family is having a blast enjoying the new Mojo. Even though we have been wakesurf for years, my daughter has had no interest. She loved shopping for the new boat and insisted on being the first to surf it and she killed it! We picked up a Landlock too and had fun goofing around with it.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...548dbfc416.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...ddd192ec43.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...5f671c309f.jpg

Well we made it back from our week in Arkansas. Got the boat fixed the day before we left so we didn’t have to worry about the plate flopping the whole way home. Still need to water test for leaks.
My son got up on skis for the first time and now wants to do it all the time.
And my wife is snapping selfies as she pulled me surfing. We really dropped the ball on taking pictures this last week. Oops.

Had a great birthday weekend even with the triple digit temps. The wakeshade extended Bimini makes a huge difference. So glad we got it. Tried out the crib sheets on the back locker doors. Worked pretty well to keep from burning feet on the light grey vinyl.

I've been a ghost these days...
July was a week in the middle of Idaho. 80-86 degree water. Temps in the upper 90s, but still 78 degrees at 11pm = no motivation for campfire [emoji91].
Literally having the lake to ourselves with no other boats doing anything. Smooth water almost every day well into the afternoon.
(See pic for mirror glass at 3pm!)
My son is now 17 and leveled up on both wake and surf. And he did almost all the boat driving for me and took the boat on/off the trailer and did the nose ups for my pickup-dropoff.
Almost 400 miles 1 way to get there over 2 brutal passes, but worth it. Over 100 gallons [emoji618] in the boat and well over 100 gallons in the truck. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...8f64115d1c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...c1323676a3.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...bd326fa0f0.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...281fbce1c6.jpg
