HAH! My landing would have looked as rough as Merlin’s did if I had tried it. I was FLYING down the top of the wave and had to abort :D
Ah yea it’s been a minute since I watched it :D
I wouldn’t mind spending the money to go see the new one. I haven’t been to a movie theater in probably a decade.
Hak,
Out there oumping brakes, boat all fixed then.
Definitely go see it in the big theater. I would say it's as good as the original. Lot's of great flying scenes. Some BS of course, but that was also the case with the first one, and all movies for that matter. But hey, you go watch a movie to be entertained!

Wife and I have caught 3 new movies midweek at 10 am showings. The theater we go to serves food and drinks, so we have mimosa brunches with no crowds. Maverick was good flying scenes. A lot of it was filmed over some of my old stomping grounds, so I was getting distracted trying to figure out which valleys and mountain passes they were flying through.

Little better view of the wave we are getting. I feel like we have good push. Others are free surfing well. I’m still struggling but getting a little closer each time out. Running 1500 pound bag with another 600 pound bow sac on top. All in rear. Wave better with this setup then with weight in bow I’m finding.

This is why the Outback will always be my favorite boat. Tons of storage and ability to ski course wakeboard and wakesurf all in same outing.

Looks like a fun day on the water. Hope everyone has a fun and safe father's day weekend and take some good pictures
Pat - Five years or so from now we will buy another direct drive to replace the '07 Outback we sold in 2016. As you note, its a great all around tow boat. Right now we are empty nesters, with the boys now grown men and starting families (Idaho, Wisconsin, and North Carolina). Yes, we still call Virginia home, living here in the rural area between Richmond and Charlottesville. My work is split between telework and the office in Alexandria. Great to see you enjoying that boat. Keep it up! - Deerfield
Good deal. My older 2 are grown and gone as well. NH and Reston VA. Still have a 13 year old at home though. Glad to hear from you!

I know your pain.... $360 I'm boat fuel this week. :(
I missed this question when it first came up. The arch is called Gregory Natural Bridge and the bottom came out of the water at a level of around 3550 after being submerged continuously since 1969). The top is 110 feet above that at 3660. It completely blocks access to the canyon (50-mile Canyon) upstream of the bridge, though water circulates below the bridge still so the water remains fresh. The lake level at full is 3700 feet. I have seen the lake at 3685 and all the way down to 3520. You find new adventures at every water level. For example, one of the highlights of the lake is Cathedral of the Desert. Now you can walk into the cathedral and see the whole area, but at higher levels, you boat into the cathedral and are up against the ceiling, completely surrounded in sandstone on your boat. Either way, a remarkable experience, just different. When full, you get nothing from the cathedral but a narrow slot canyon that is less remarkable.
Picked up the boat from dealer service and took a demo on a 2022 SA450. Amazing boat all around. Also took a demo on a skim style board and brought the Matrix home. So much different feeling than surf style I’m used to but I think I’m going to like it a lot to change things up. Tried some 360’s and failed miserably but all good fun.

If you take her on a demo, you’ll never be able to afford life again.
My CFO hated the idea of the cost of the SA. After our first day on the water in it, she said we can’t go back down, just up!
I took that as a green light for an SL/SE this time around, but she only allowed for a few more options in the build our last SA didn’t have. Now, after loading the boat down with family, she’s suffering from two-footitus, wishing we would have gone with the SL.

The lake has virtually no boat traffic, then Mother Nature throws gale force winds all day. Lol.
Still a good day.
Happy Father’s Day to all!

Great father's day weekend. Fortunately it's my son getting launched everytime and not our guests. Having some problems with the boat though and that's on a different post. :(
