Fold the tower down.
How deep are you going? 30'+?
My garage is 26" and I had to take the swim platform off and fold the trailer in. Had about 1.5' at the back and a couple inches at the door.
This going in at the house?
Yeah I’m having it built in the back yard. Unless Jamie finds us another house with a shop already built. Aubrey told me it’ll take em 3 to 4 weeks to approve the renderings etc bunch of nonsense from a engineered foundation to wind bracing and some other box engineering etc etc etc

its cool, i like your boat
An 11’ garage door should work without having to drop tower. But that is just my guess. I have a 10’ and it looks like a few more inches would get mine in.
It’s been a busy summer so far with the new boat and the wedding in vegas on Saturday. Mandatory wedding pic:

I finished up round one of the LED’s a few weeks ago and realized I never posted pics (night pics don’t do justice to how it really looks as y’all know). The wetsounds music controller is really cool

I put a single rgb LED’s in all the speaker grills and 2 of them in the sub grill. The sub looks great, but the 6.5’s could use more. I’ll have to get a pic of the sub and the 6.5’s in the bow.
Im thinking Part 2 will be speaker rings and cupholder rings for the cupholders in the floor.
What rgb led's did you use for speakers/ subs and the cupholder area? Is the music controller your talking about the wetsounds unit that is crazy expensive?

These for the speaker grills:

These ziptied to the wiring harness that runs above the cupholder area (and in the little cutout to the right of the helm):

Controller:

I soldered these to the LED strips:

And used combinations of the wire in different lengths and splitters found here:

Scroll down to “customers also bought:” to see the splitters and such
Awesome thanks

I like the way this MAX is turning out! Congrats on the marriage.
Just a heads up to anyone else who may order this adjustable pedestal. It is great and screws straight to the deck in the same screw pattern. However, you cannot adjust it up as easily as I expected. You have to pull the pin out and lift the seat at the same time. Because the seat wants to rock back, it binds on the post. It can be done, it just takes two people. This is more of an adjustable height “fixed” post. Don’t expect to raise it up while driving. Still a great upgrade though.

That is correct. I can raise it myself but it is quite awkward. I wonder if there is a way to add a spring inside? Might look into that when I finish my other projects....
Started on the LED cupholder and speaker rings. I found a great DIY on malibucrew to give credit where credit is due: http://www.themalibucrew.com/index.p...der-rings-diy/
I’m using 3/8” hose for the speakers and 1/4” for the cupholders:

https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...93235f7c3c.jpg
My plan is to do all 8 cupholders in the floor to add some light down there along with the 4 interior speakers since the single LED’s I added don’t show up well against the black cone.
Im also going to do the cupholders on the transom and the rev10’s, but will run the 12v wire for that circuit through one of the acc switches on the dash so that I can turn them off when underway. The law will use any excuse around here to pull you, especially at night.
I’m hoping to have all this done for our next trip to the lake the weekend after the 4th.
The 1/4” tubing ended up being too small for the cupholders to drop all the down flush due to the led strip so I went with 5/16” OD. I found these little things in the hardware isle at Lowe’s to use as a connector.

https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a2d4cac7ae.jpg
I crazy glued the ends of tubing together with that little insert in there so it can’t back out, and also used some glue to keep the ring up on the led strip.
To get the wires to fit in the hole I used a “D” shaped file and took off just enough fiberglass in the necessary spot for the cupholder to slide down.
I’m very happy with the results:

You guys that do all this RGB wiring must be the most patient people ever... lol
I tell myself it’s a labor of love and that flashing multi color LEDs make women horny hahaha
I’ve found that using the 4 pin connectors (and various lengths of premade wire w/4 pin connectors/splitters) makes it much easier. There is a lot of soldering up front but that’s just a little bench work, once it’s done the actual install goes quick, practically plug n play.
In the past I have tried the connectors that crimp onto the LED strips on one end and the wire on the other, those are a major pain in the rear to get good connections. I realized at some point that I spent so much time messing with them that I should have just soldered from the beginning.
The picture of the cup holders with the 4 pin plugs looks dang near professional lol... you did good work!
Thank you sir!
Moving on to LED’s that are visible outside the boat.
The wetsounds controller has 2 outputs so I’m running all the external lights off the 2nd. I spliced into the positive wire (black wire in the rgb 4 wire lead) and ran it to the acc switch on the dash before continuing on, this allows me to turn them off when underway at night if the cops are on the lake, while the interior LEDs stay on.
The most difficult part of the job was fishing the rgb wire up and across the tower.

I went ahead and put a strip inside the vent on the transom and am going to do the cupholders back there and the two vents in front of the windshield as well, but ran out of time to finish last night.

I’ll update with more pics when it’s done.
I got tired of the stereo cutting out when I turned off the boat and every time I started it so I wired the head unit power wire to one of the accessory switches.
I wanted to label the switch for the stereo and the one I used for the exterior LEDs and couldn’t find anyone that makes the factory switch plates, so I ordered these on eBay:

You get to customize 10 of them so I just ordered some random ones too

I had a vinyl shop make me some. I had to replace all of them because of my ocd lol

I'm curious what your machine gun and rockets switch does. Standard 007 stuff from Q?

How did you mount the rev 10’s?
I zoomed in on the pic and looks like there is some sort of adapter between the tower and the rev10.
Thanks
They are mounted with brackets I got through my moomba dealer, and I believe they got them from skiers choice (to go on wetsounds equipped boats). I was quoted $300 for the brackets if I recall correctly. The dealer had a few boats with rev10s already mounted and my wife liked the clean look of those brackets, so we had them order some for us.
I used the wetsounds fc5-u brackets to mount my rev 10s on my 2018 max. They are like $150 online
^I looked those up out of curiosity and they appear to be identical. Dealer hooked it up on the speaker price and made up the difference on the “special” mounts I guess lol
Awesome thank you guys!!
