Congrats on the new boat... I just bought one 2 weeks ago love it.. 2018 SA400 had the middle prop on it was a little slow out with 6 on the boat just got a new prop Acme 2937 high altitude prop will see how it works this weekend... Very nice boat Enjoy...
Currently has the ACME 2775 15x12.5
We will see how it goes. Same prop as the dealer demo and at appx 1000ft elevation it was what they recommended.
Time will tell.

I just want it to jump out of the hole a little quicker
I am probably 500 above sea level... Boat does jump good surfing but just struggles a little out of the hole with it fully loaded with people in the boat... Still learning the system and the Launch assist...
Still considering adding two more JL 8.8” tower speakers.
Confirmed the amp in my boat is the 800/8v2.
Is it as simple as using the last open channel to drive 2 more speakers?

So I’m guessing the boat only came with 1 800/8 amp? No, unfortunately not... you’ll need an extra 800/8v2.
I can’t believe supra did that! Everything is getting about half the rated power off one amp, if that. Also, it looks like there’s only 4 pairs of speaker wires for the in boat... you should have 6 jl 7.7’s in there right?
My boat came with 2 800/8’s, one for the in boats and sub, and one for the tower speakers. The towers need to be bridged to 4 channels on one amp to get optimum power if you’re gonna run 4.
Sorry, lots of questions on my end. I’m curious as to how they wired the in boat speakers since you’re only running one amp
And by the way... that thing is beautiful, but I’m biased anyway lol. That interior is way sharp. Congrats!

There is a second amp, it’s not a 800/8, it’s smaller. I will post it up when I get it tomorrow.

No id bet that is a 400/4 dedicated to the towers.
The heavy gauge white wires bridged on Channel 7/8 on the 800/8 are gonna be your sub since you have 6 in boat speakers wired on 1-6. Mine was wired the same way, but with another 800/8 for the towers.
Easy way to tell, pull the RCA cables off the smaller amp and see what dies. I’d put a paycheck on the tower speakers.
To power 2 more tower speakers, I need another 400/4 or sell the 400/4 and get another 800/8 to run 4 tower speakers.

Depends if I get speaker envy, I honestly have no interest in being the lake boom box and the towers really don’t feed the boat, mostly the rider.

I can understand that... I’m envious of Dusty’s old set up. I’d love to have 2 410’s on my tower. Just don’t think I wanna put that much time into custom work. lol

Just ran across this thread! My LSV is pre LS, although figured you may be able to offer some advice on L31 modifications. I could care less about HP, more interested in low-end torque. In reality a Turbo Diesel offering would be best power plant for a surf machine.Quote:

The L31 5.7L is fairly torquey at 330 ft lbs at 2800 rpm, short of increasing the stroke of the engine to increase torque, I am sure that a torque specific camshaft could be spec’d to increase torque.

I currently have a 2010 Cadillac CTSV with a built LSA 6.2l. Nothing makes torque like a supercharger.
Car is a 6 speed manual with making 700 hp and 680 ftlbs at the wheels (appx 800hp/775tq at the crank....stock was 560/551)

After some further research, it appears that the L31 marine engine already uses the ramjet 14097395 camshaft. That is a torquey cam.Quote:
