The enhanced SE is starting to strut its stuff—aka me kinda figuring out what she likes. Honing in on it for sure!
No tricks, just an iPhone and my unsteady hand.

Replacing the tower pads. Must have been a rough day on the line when installing the tower!

Surprisingly the pad did not split on that leg.
I just ended up making these myself. I used a glue down style rubber tile. Figured it would be pretty durable. Made templates and used those to cut them out of the tile. For the holes I used a mandrel and gasket hole punch.
I've been using left over hydroturf for mine. Not a big deal if they only last a season. I'm not surprised. with the cargo bimini, a pair of REV410s, 4 board racks, 2 overhead racks, tower mirror, and even a pair of flag holders I've got a s*** ton of weight on my tower.
The slow spring in Texas has caused the ramp funnies to happen in May instead of April. This took up an entire lane and we are not even sure how they got there. But the lower unit was sitting sideways [emoji15]

Oh it’s been a good season so far. I wish I could have gotten pics last weekend, but I was too busy trying to keep my boat outta the mayhem. Let me paint this picture for you...
A guy in a brand new F250 backed the trailer for his brand new Yamaha boat so far in the water the tailgate was half in so that the bow roller was 6” outta the water. He did great getting to the bow roller, but while trying to hook it the boat floated sideways over the fender and got hung between the roller and the 6” of exposed trailer guide (which I’m surprised he didn’t run over earlier).
He proceeded to unhook the bow, and try to power and turn back into the roller which sent his new boat up and into his brand new paper plated tailgate, crushing it of course. 4 people finally showed up to help push him back and around the trailer guide, and pull the trailer forward the 800’ it needed. Once he got on the bunks, he tried to power load up with the wheel cut and swings the nose of the boat into a guys chin trying to help guide him up. He got pissed and left the guy to finish on his own.
Poor guy...
Sometimes it amazes me you don’t have to get a license to do this stuff...
“It’s been a good season so far”.... are you referring to “ramp season”! Haha it needs it owns thread.

Yes it does... I think we had one with pictures last year? Lol
May 26, the official opening of Ramp Season.
We took delivery of the Craz this Thursday at Denney marine in Albany KY. I'm still absolutely flabbergasted by both the boat itself and the fact that I own something like this. It still feels like a dream! We put an hour and a half on it on lake Cumberland Thursday before getting sidetracked by my baby sister's wedding Saturday. Back at it for a few hours on Laurel Lake in KY Sunday evening.

I have bumped into a couple of issues that I'll need to talk to my dealer about, and one N00b (to a new new boat, this is my 4th inboard) mistake;
The water temp readout is WAY off, and the water depth just reads "---".
Attachment 26998
I'd bet you beer money that they're related. Also the electric surge brake lockout isn't working - I've had (actually added myself) this on my last 2 trailers, so I know what to expect... I'l probably spend 10 minutes troubleshooting that one on my own before involving the dealer.
The bigger hiccup is that the boat came in 4" taller than the TWO that I measured at a boat show. No how no way it fit's in an 8' door. I was mega-thorough measuring, then it was confirmed by Matt the Moomba brand manager at the Cincinnati boat show. It took taking the brackets off of the tower (not just the quick disconnect, but the next step up the bracket chain), deflating the tires and backing it in with a 6" drop hitch (stock F150) to get it in my 8'1" door.
the n00b mistake was - first not checking the air bleed valves on the bags before filling the first time, then not noticing until the bilge pump kicked on. related to that, not checking to make sure the bags were laid out to fill without supervision - the port side back filled up under the carpeted trim inside of the hatch and popped the screw out of the fiberglass! Easy fix, I'm just glad that those screw sticking out of the back of the panel didn't find their way into the bag!
Last, this Mission Reef Mat inflatable mat is on sale right now and pretty damn cool! CostCo has a similar product for about $100 cheaper, but the Mission seems to pack up tighter, so I sprung for it for my girlfriend's 30th birthday. The Reef mat in addition to the Tuko towels we have from them and the Delta wake shaper that I let go with the old boat make us real Mission Boat Gear poster children!

Thank you! Brittany Blue/Gunmetal Flake was the close second in my decision!
So about a week ago, I got inspiration to do a quick and easy upgrade to my subs on the boat. I was running a pair of Infinity 10's with a 2 ohm load to my sub amp. Since the amp's 1 ohm stable, I decided to buy a 3rd 10" sub and drop it down to a 1.3ohm load and have the amp push out the full 1000 watts.
Because I didn't want to spend a lot of time or effort, I found a pre-made bedliner sprayed box and used that. My existing subs were installed without removing the foot rest. So while I could have hacked out the footrest to make room for tons of airspace, I wanted quick and easy. It was a little more work than I planned, because I had to remove the existing box and squeeze in the new box forward of it. But I utilized some of the dead space under the helm and the result is amazeballs. bass times 150%!!! Net cost was $169 and one evening of time.
So now I finally have bass that keeps up with the REV410s on the tower.

Two of the three subs are visible, so I cleaned up the LED's on those and reinstalled the box.

Went up Saturday morning for the closing day at Mt Hood Meadows. Then drove back, had lunch and launched the boat for some sunshine and 80+ degrees. Good sized crew for the stereo demo on Saturday.
Love the PNW for sunny blue skies on the mountain and sunny blue skies on the river for a 'double board day'. Snowboard morning, wakesurf afternoon!

Got the banner hung up in the carport. Looks good! (got it from a friend that changed brands, no I have no idea where to get one)

With back to back days in the mid 80s, I didn't bother backing the boat into the carport, Just left it hitched up and took advantage of lots of street parking in front of my house.

We hooked up with a Moomba guy from Texas that's in Portland for a while and took him out on the XLV. After his wakeboard run, our son was motivated to brave the 58 degree water and up his wakeboard game. He's always been nervous about crossing the wakes, so his Mother's Day present was checking that off with repeated wake crossing. (he's way better at surfing than wakeboarding).

I took out my drone and THOUGHT I got some rad footage of my son surfing. Unfortunately it never started the video. I was really bummed. The only footage I got was when I was bringing it back to the boat. (which was crazy hard to do with current ripping, waves rocking the boat and a bit of a breeze. talk about a moving target. So this was the only pic that was halfway decent. It was so stressful bringing my drone in to catch it, that I didn't even take another flight with my 2nd battery. And all the birds swarming it didn't help either.

LOL. Okay, so I've got a playpen bow and I find that unless the side cushions are centering the middle long cushion just right that the middle one wants to have the edge of it fall in the hole (especially when people are walking on it to board from the nose of the boat). After years of the starboard side cushion being pushed sideways toward the starboard side, the edge of that cushion wants to actually slip under the outer parts of the bow. so stuffing a noodle in there keeps that cushion where I want it to be and in turn keeps the middle cushion centered. It's totally a $1 ghetto fix, but it's been working fine and you can't see it when the cushions are in place.
I still love the playpen bow however. It's the last of a dying breed.
Pics from this weekend. My son is getting real close to getting up. Try, try, again. He will get it soon.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...505ef32974.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...6c5e47b69e.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...bd4bfa4596.jpg

Upper end of Center Hill Lake in Middle TN. Wakefest is held here in July every year. Based out of Pate’s Ford Marina. Put on by TNT Watersports in Hendersonville. Boat viewing access only. No viewing from bank.

Didn’t make it out this weekend with all the family around other than a few hours on Sunday. Linz decided last second she wanted to go sit out for a bit before dinner with all the parents. Ended up being a great day, dead calm back in party cove. Tied up with one of the Rinkers guys, Will and his wife n daughter. Great day...

Since it was calm and we were way shallow I got some beauty shots in the water... I freakin love the ultra blue!

Tell me you didn't get that water on Center Hill on the weekend! I've been lucky enough to experience that...but on a weekday. Haven't went to the party seen of wakefest but have been up there on the Friday before it starts for some demo rides with the sponsors from TNT. Beautiful.
Geez, even down here on conroe we’re only at 79°
Actually it was yesterday (May 14). The pic is only about 3-4 miles down river from Rock Island State Park which is the head of Center Hill Lake. They have been working on the Center Hill Dam in Smithville, TN for the past 8 years or so and the lake level is 20 ft. or so lower than normal summer pool, therefore the ramp at Rock Island is not usable except for small aluminum fishing boats, so on a weekday you have miles of lake virtually to yourself. There is a ramp for the area this pic was taken only about 15 minutes from my house. This far up the lake, it is not uncommon for the water to be this calm year round (except during periods of high winds obviously), even on weekends, since the ramp at the state park is not usable. The water temp surprised me also!! Once you got about 5-6 feet deep, it was a different story. We've had several days around 90 degrees, so it has the surface warmed up nicely. Especially where the channel is this narrow. Now that I've given away my secret, I won't ever see this again!!!
52 here. Yep. 52.
