Wiring and plumbing ran through the channel under the floor.

New bags fill out the lockers nicely. Looks like they'll be a good fit!

Sorry for all the separate posts... 4 pic limit per post.
And don't mind my interior it's next on the list! Hopefully get it done before summer really gets going.

Great job!!!! Really appreciate all the pictures and knowledge.
Is that romex wire you're using?

Looks like you used bolts to attach the pumps.
Good if you need to take them off to get to the impellers.

Years ago, my Johnson pumps came with the black impellers. I swapped those out after 1-2 seasons with the orange ones.
What did yours come with?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
They have the orange impellers already installed. Have you been happy with the orange ones?
Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
The original black impeller started to stick on 1-2 of the pumps after a few years. Sometimes the switch would fix it (moving forward & reverse), sometimes I had to reopen and make sure the brass bolts were not installed too tight. Tried some lube. It was a PITA.
Never an issue with the orange. They are more flexible.
I am having the same issue with my black impellers, just ordered 3 new orange ones to replace them hoping this fixes the sticking problem. All three of mine stick. The tightness of the cover bolts can affect this? Maybe when i swap them out i need to not install the bolts as tight as well.
Well I made it up to the lake to try everything out.
First up the pros:
1. Most importantly, no leaks! The fit and finish with this kit was really top notch!
2. The pumps worked great. Fast fill times and full emptying thanks to the check valves!
And now the bad...
1. 2000lbs in the lockers with just the 400lb in the ski locker is way too much for this boat. Perfect pass wouldn't hold speed and the wave was nowhere near surfable. RPMs were way up and once the boat hit the set speed the perfect pass backed off and the boat slowed way down. I'd imagine more weight in the front to help level it out and stay on plane will help but what a huge disappoinment. Also think a new prop may be in order.
2. Throttle issues. The boat fired right up and ran great but once I slowed down to idle and tried to accelerate again I had no throttle. Forward and reverse engaged just fine but there was nothing but idle. I had this issue once last summer as well. If I unplug the middle connector on the ecm and plug it back in it works fine for a bit but the issue persisted throughout the day.
Overall a pretty rough trip but hey, a bad day on the lake beats a good day anywhere else right?

It sounds like a propeller issue. Your motor is big enough to drive those sacks. Did you adjust the wake plate as well? More weight in the front will make the wake longer as well. Try filling the sacks 100% on the surf side and 80% on the opposite side. Depending on how many people in the boat I don't even need to fill the rear surf side to 100%. Don't worry you will get it working and it will work.
Sounds like the perfect pass servo is shot. Perfect pass has some great support docs, basically make sure the perfect pass servo is moving.
Yep, you need an ibs, use the old rear bag in the bow and used a tsunami pump. You'll need a new prop sooner or later, acme 1433..
Also take a look at the brass cover plate that faces the impeller. Mine had a few black marks from the black rubber. Felt uneven. I sanded that smooth.
The screws need to be tight enough to put pressure on that thin rubber gasket the to prevent leaks. Not sure that would effect the impeller sticking.

I agree. Perfect pass servo replacement is likely needed
Prop will make a difference.

It's a drive by wire system so it doesn't have a servo. Although I'm not ruling out throttle issues since it seems that my throttle position sensor failed and was causing the boat to go into forced idle.
And I just took a look at the prop and it turns out its already got an OJ 14.25 x 14 which is designed specifically for surfing and heavy ballast so that's not the issue either.
I'm definitely gonna throw one of the old bags up front under the bow seats and see if that helps. I'll plumb it into the vent line from the ski locker bag since that's how the ibs is gonna be plumbed eventually anyways.

I didn't realize it was different from Supra of that era. Ignore me.
Agree on prop size.
You sure, I don't think it's drive by wire...Thought those came later....
my 08 is drive by wire so I would not be shocked if his 07 had the same system. If you're trying to get on plain while surfing then you're doing it wrong. I run more weight than that surfing with acme 1847 and my PP has no issues holding speed.
Might want to shut off the PP and see how your throttle operation is. See if you can get up on plane-- go over by 5-6 MPH then drop back to surf speed and engage the PP. If it holds you might need an adjustment to your PP controls to make it more or less "aggressive". If you can describe what is happening you can call them and they will walk you through what changes to make to your settings.
Tomorrow is round 2 of trying to workout the kinks. Replaced the throttle body so that should take care of my forced idle issue. Threw one of the old sacs under the front seats to help keep the bow down a bit while surfing. Hopefully that helps with the wake and the perfect pass

Just got back from the lake and I'm happy to say I've finally got the wave dialed in! I appreciate all your guys input. My little LSV now surfs at least close to as well as my neighbor's brand new Supreme S238. The wave is tall and long and has a good amount of push all the way back to the curl. Just like you guys suggested front 750lb ibs full, center locker 400lb full, surf side 1000lb locker bag full and opposite side 65%-75% full. Suckgate and about 10.5 mph. Wakeplate at about 1/2. The pictures were before I really got it set up and don't even come close to doing justice. Just me, my wife, dad, and 1 year old daughter on the boat. It is an awesome wave thanks guys!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...35e0af3df8.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...3e3bcb3048.jpg

Sound like you're getting it dialed in. The LSV is a great surf boat but has to be set up right to really get the best out of it (you could say that for any hull though).
Thanks for all this great info and the pics on the upgrade chawkphil....I just got my upgrade kit and plan is to get it done this week and (hopefully) back in the water Saturday. Might be aggressive given work schedule and if I am missing parts ....but seems as though from your thread on this I should be ok. My initial main questions were pump mounting location and thru hull locations, so appreciate your pics for that...assume the pump locations worked with no issues? Also, dumb question I am sure, but did you change the routing on the vent lines which were reused from the old drain lines? Certainly looks good based on the wave. Thanks again!
Mark
So far the pump location has worked out great. Make sure you mount them with the impeller down and try to rout the lines so that loop upward from the pumps so that water naturally settles in the impellers. I've left my pumps running far too long a few times already and haven't had to replace an impeller yet. My neighbors pumps are mounted upside down and he's gone through several impellers already this season.
I did not cross the vent lines as the idea behind using a suckgate is having the boat fairly level vs listing it to either side. I haven't noticed any water running out of the vent lines while surfing so I don't see a need for it.
Good luck on the install! As I said in the thread the ibs is an absolute must and I'd go even heavier than 750lbs if I could. It makes all the difference. You will not regret doing this. It turns this small crossover boat into a legitimate surf boat.

Hi everyone
I was wondering if any of you would be kind enough to send me plans for a successful proven suck g8 for a 07 LSV
Thanks in advance
CJ
May have to run a search on "suckgate" "suck gate" or "sukg8". Here is a head start though (Look at post #297):
https://forum.moomba.com/showthread....a-boats/page30
Thanks for that, it is indeed a head start. I did do a search without much success hence the question. I am convinced there is a suck gate thread on here that I have read but I can't seem to find it again.
This thread has been awesome! I bought an 08 LSV a month ago and was nervous that there was not much surf info like the older Centurions etc.
Anyways 650lbs in the front, Two 1,100S in the rear, 400lbs in the floor, 250 on the surf side, and a wake shaper. THIS WAVE IS EPIC!
It does not matter the size of the rider or the board there is tons of wave to rip on.
yea, it is all about weight and a good wake shaper. Our 07 LSV had a great wave. Glad you got it dialed in.
Most of us are using https://imgur.com or tapatalk. Everyone discussed the image issues here for years, and have now gave up on it lol. Were all using third party software.
I believe the image issue is fixed. I have not had trouble uploading files from my hard drive recently.

This is just a test. Was playing with the configurator and saved this image in my hard drive. No, I'm not shopping.
