Same here. I pulled my old 900s that I was going to sell out of the garage and am going to put it up front to see what happens. I couldn't imagine that he would have much length at all without ANY front weight and 1100s in the back.

Has anyone got a set solution for this? Some people are filling tank and IBS full, others are running empty. I have custom 1280s in the back and autosurf. I also surf port side. How should I setup?
I have now figured out the best setup for my 16 Mojo. I replaced the rear bags with 1450 flyhigh Enzo bags in each side. Port surf setting at 60-70%. I can now run 10.5mph, go ropeless, and hop on top of the wave and come back down. I'm getting close to spinning the board as I'm hitting the top of the wave

Just my me and my wife I run full port ballast (1450 lb flyhigh bag) about 1/4 or a hair more in bow and 1/4 or a small amount more starboard side.

I tried running weight on my port side and I still can't get the height I had on my other wave. Better but needs to be bigger especially since it is the "surf edition"

I agree with you that's why I added the flyhigh Enzo bags that are 1450 lbs each and it made a huge difference

The 1450's fit fine. They run from the rear lockers under the passenger seats on the port/starboard side. You lose some storage space under the seats. I only have about a foot of storage left now on both sides of the passenger seats that lift up so I just put everyone's shoes in there and put everything else in the big storage compartment under the glovebox

I played with it a lot this weekend, my 2nd weekend having the 1450's and I am now really pleased with them. Full ballast on port side, almost half or a little less on starboard side and I fill the hard tank in the middle of the boat almost full and nothing in the bow as of right now. I can surf at 10.5mph ropeless and play around on the wave with just me and my wife in the boat. Port surf tab at 60-70%, and wake plate at 1/2 to 3/4 max.

I did just order the engine savers from wake makers because right now it bows the engine dividers in. I needed as big of bags as possible because most of my friends have boats also so a lot of times there's just 2-4 of us on the boat

I got engine panels as well but still notice some bowing. Check to see where you should install them. I think mine need to be up higher.

hey everyone. I'm a new Moomba owner and I've been trying to wrap my mind around everything that goes into owning one. I have been doing as much research as possible so I'm squared away when I take delivery in April. I've purchased 2 fly high 1100 rear bags and the ACME 2079 prop so far. I'm confused on what piggy backing means? I'm assuming that would be using the 650lbs stock bags I'm replacing and using those somewhere else? Also with all the added weight do you subtract that from the weight capacity of the boat? I'm a first time boat owner / straight up noob so thanks for the help guys.
also what is the average depth you guys surf at and at what point does that start to effect the wave? The river I'm on has some areas that might get to 8-10 feet so I have to cruise up to the lake where depths are more in the 20 foot range. is that good enough to get a decent wave?
First off, welcome and can't wait to see pics of your new Mojo. As far as piggy backing, the most common approach people use here is to tie their IBS or bow bag into the center tank. Once the center tank fills then the IBS will begin to fill. On my LSV I added an IBS and plumbed in it's own pump as I did not want to piggy back it off of anything else. The maximum weight question, the Mojo is designed to take on weight and a lot of it. Look at the post above, 1100 rears, 400s under seats, 700 tank and 500 IBS, that's 4,200 lbs of just ballast.
Good luck and just know it will take time to dial everything in just right.
As for depth, I think everyone agrees that you see the wave diminish rapidly as you get under 10 feet. Once you get up to around 12 it doesn't matter a whole lot how much deeper it is than that.
The 400s under the seats are piggy backed off the rear 1100s. Original factory pumps fill the 1100 and then spill over into the 400. Takes about 14 min unfortunately. I would love a faster pump time. The vent is off the 400 and I added a check valve to the vent line so the bags empty better. Without the check the bags don't empty very well.

My system does not utilize a T to fill the 400s under the seats. The 1100s simply overflow into the 400s, but I am curious if a tee would improve the my fill time.
The port side bag is almost to the heater, with a couple inches to spare. The starboard side has plenty of room. I store 2 anchors in front of the sac on the starboard side. If your craz has a heater you may not be able to fit the 400lb sac on the port side. I have posted this pic before but it goes to show that with enough weight you can get a good surf wave. Only 2 people in the boat. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...04f8652ae7.jpg

Height wise they fit okay. They do push up slightly on the seat when 100% full but not enough to slide the seat out of its original position. If someone is sitting on them you never notice it. If height was an issue for you, simply sit on the seat till the bag empties enough but I don't think that will be a problem.

Is there any use for the stock 650's after upgrading? I'm trying to make sure I understand you guys 1100's in the rear 700 stock in the floor 500 IBS upfront....and on top of that you guys add 400's to the rear seats. This extra 400lbs in the rear seats would be unnecessary if I have a few fat ass friends with me, correct? The weight capacity is 2500lbs so if I add 4200lbs ballast ( minus the 2500lbs standard stock ballast) 2500LBS boat weight capacity minus 1700 leaves me with 800lbs for passengers. Sorry if this is confusing. I'm just trying to figure this all out before I pull a titanic on the lake
Your figures are correct. Any additional ballast that you add to the stock ballast takes away from the boat's weight capacity. I have heard people say that it is water weight and that it doesn't count.
thanks for the reply. I'm not going to push my luck
The extra 800lb you have left over is a relatively accurate figure, any more and I struggle to get on plane even with an upgraded 15"x12" prop. I wonder if the new auto-launch would fix this. I typically cheat one of my surf tabs down in addition to the wake plate to get on plane but having control of both surf tabs would be nice. I have had full ballast and a crew size of 14 adults and never felt unsafe. The mojo can handle a lot of weight, even more than the rating but say goodbye to getting anywhere very fast. The surf wave was really good though. To quote the moomba website, "there is no replacement for displacement."
I haven't found a use for the stock 650lb bags. Since the fittings are glued in you can't simply replace the stock fittings for plugs unless I am missing something.
Thanks for the tip!
The Mojo will hold ALOT of weight. I run 4K plus in ballast and I have have 20 plus people in the boat. Not advising that but the boat handled fine and no problem getting on plane.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...4557a3e3c4.jpg

No problem getting on plane with 4k and a boat full of people? What prop and motor do you have? I'm running an oj 15"×13" on my craz and run 4k ballast. Mine struggles with that weight and a tiny crew. I'm not at a high elevation either.

so you would fill your 4k ballast and still have all those people? Wouldn't the passengers do the same job as the bags?
Hey, new Mojo owner here as well (picked up a 16' model in off season. Haven't been able to get it out other than test drive. The dealer claims its been set up for surfing (1100 bags, timers fixed, etc.) but I just am a little curious. I pulled my bags for winter....does anyone have dimensions on the stock 650's vs. dimensions of 1100 bags so I can compare?
Thanks
