My buddy Desi is coming for the Jam. he'll be on my boat most the time, but he's getting a campsite and it's just him and his truck. He's even sleeping in the truck, so no tent. I'm sure you can crash his site pretty easy.

Well, I just got this notice... That sucks.

Oregon State Parks customer,
The Prineville Reservoir water level is way below normal for this time of year and the park has had to pull the moorage docks out of the water. As a result, we have to cancel your moorage reservation We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions, please call Oregon State Parks at 1-800-551-6949.
Wow. All the smaller reservoirs especially the ones used for irrigation are getting hit hard. Grand Coulee is one of a few that keeps close to a full pool.

I know its a lot further South but, Shasta Lake still has a ton of water in it and looks to staying steady. The resorts are having screaming deals on Houseboats too right now. Just a thought.
I figured they were low when I hooked up with some people from Prineville to LBC last weekend because the said there was no water in their home resivior.
My friend who brought his black Mojo out last year is there now. He says it's about 10' lower than it was last September. He dropped into a foot deep hole at the Joshua Pointe ramp and will be using the ramp at the state park when he leaves on Sunday.
Jasper Point launch should still be usable.
No dock - throw out an anchor line and call it good. As long as the wind cooperates....
Prinville is at 55% now. It's going to be little more than a mud hole by September. As of right now we (my group) are discussing other options. I don't think we'll be going at this rate.
I have a buddy that has property at Billychinook and he said because they are holding water back with very little water in, that there has been an algae bloom that may have serious health risks associated with it.
Not good either way...
Y'all can come to FL or south GA. Happy to have you.
Billychinook is now closed and Boardman is booked. All the other local lakes and campgrounds that we hit are booked. Might have to do a local jam on the Columbia. That could be fun, and free. Has been awesome the last week!

Say what?

Water is as clear as I've ever seen it.

Dunno, heard it from guy that has family that lives at the lake
Actually the fact I took that pic in the middle of the day last Friday on a big weekend makes me wish they did this every year lol! Definitely fewer boats last weekend.
After getting the same message yesterday, we will be canceling our plans to go to Prineville this year. Worst case, we will stay local and just go play on the water during the day.
So is Prineville getting canceled for the Meet?
Yeah, Lake Billy is definitely open and clear. Tyler was there and said it was some of the clearest he's ever seen.
I guess I'll just wait and see. there's a lot of time between now and then and if I cancel to early, we could definitely regret it.
Per the Reserve America policies, the real deadline for cancellation w/o any adverse effects is a month before for those of us with Cabins. So I put a calendar appointment for myself to revisit this on 7/31.
But please everyone keep us all updated with your decisions and suggestions.
If Newty and Mandley go to LBC I may just have to join them.
Thanks Tom Brokaw
Bwahahahaaa...😁
Since my buddy has a place, if the water is good and everything cooperates I don't see why LBC wouldn't work.
You guys'll see me rolling in my camoed out 15' aluminum Gregor with my 15hp evinrude. It's got electric start and seating for 4.
It's kind of a big deal. Really pulls in the honeys.
Yup we are LBC at 3 Rivers, We hang out in the Metolius Arm all the time. We basically launch off 3 Rvers Ramp by the Marina then head West I think? LOL its away from Cove direction.
No Algae issues due to the water in that section is colder, 76 all weekend, little windy around 4pm but that is a good time to float and drink. I dont have all the details ironed out but normally we roll up Friday night, hit the lake Saturday around 11-8pm
The joke goes "thanks for the news flash tom brokaw"
Berg, are we talking LBC. Need to make sure this is still . . . Nevermind.
Still a slim chance I could Rally down there like a Boss in the Pimped MobV and Ninja into someone's camp for a day or 2.
Depends on how stealthy I am.
How much ballast can we run in the Gregor?
I can use my buddies property in there. I can also bring my assortment of bags to get your hunnie hauler dialed.
Nah, I'll just pull the plug and let it fill.
I can bring some 2x4's and we could throw a tower on her so you could hang some cans.
