Yessir - started on the TripleX skim. Then switched to my old standby Inland Surfer Squirt - my true love. Seriously thinking about selling the TripleX and pursuing a true surf style board to replace it. Thin the herd some.
The TripleX is a great board and I'm sure I'd keep it if I were a better rider. Spins with ease. The IS feels a bit faster and more stable for my clumsy arse though. I've been able to surprisingly recover from pretty far back on the IS at times where I would fall out on the TripleX.
Always wanted to try the wakeboard - just too much rocker to find a sweet spot!

Better than me - last few times I've brought the fully charged GoPro out I'd hit record and the damn thing would shut off. Apparently it doesn't work too well without a memory card in it.
I have a new secret weapon I'm still waiting to unleash here. Not sure how it will spin. It may want to take flight instead.

Well...., go pro was charging when my dealer came by with a G23 he was lake testing. Second attempt and i got around but couldn't stay with the boat. Seemed like a success to me though...
Summer going fast so i hope i get to complete one behind my boat...

Is it too late to the party? I met all the qualifications; albeit on the younger side (36)... however I have had 3 knee surgeries and just blew out my 4th ACL 2 weeks before this 360 attempt (I guess my wakeboarding days are over) Given my knees are equivalent to a 65yr old, I think my average age more than clears me for this competition :). Nonetheless, after trying surfing for the first time this year, I was successful in doing the 360 after many failed attempts. Anyone that wants advice behind a Mondo '14 I'm here to help, I'd be happy to trade you for some wake advice (still working on my configuration).

a. the board (I used my friends Ronix 4"8' with a 2 inch fin)
b. getting REALLY Close to the platform so I had time to stay in the wake
c. spinning with my hips and having fresh legs

i'm 32.. hurt my knee a few times wakeboarding.. never tore anything official according to docs... but I can't stand up after sitting without limping it off for a few minutes.. definitely too old to attempt wakeboading anymore..
100% surfer now.. need to figure out this 360 thing so i have some more fun behind the boat... can get the 360, but never stay with the wake... i hope next year I can get some more time behind the boat...
Having twins last November has made getting to the lake not happen as often as i'd like this summer.
I'm thinking that success was mostly due to the cheering section! Cute.

I'm 51, no surgery but knee hurts getting off chairs.... I was icing it down all day when trying to pull this off. I guess that puts me in the "masters class". Still haven't done it though. This coming weekend will be the last chance this year...

Thought for sure I'd be surfing more this year with my new boat, but actually surfed less.
Once I got over my fear from my big wipeout last year I've made huge improvements wakeboarding. My legs have been cached with long 30+ minutes wakeboard sets so there's nothing left. I've been working on switch and 180s all summer...
been a horrible year for me getting out on the boat, bet ive only put maybe 20hrs on it and 10 of that was on vacation that go rained out 2 or so days. hopefully the weather improves and I can make a run at this 360 this fall.
Need to get in the game on the p5 model x before I hang it up for the year in October.
No way on the IS swallow .
Finally splurged this week and bought a doomswell drone. Now it is raining all week hopefully this weekend I can get out and try a few.

Cactus- im considering one of those boards.... did you customize the board at all? Can you compare it to any other boards you've ridden?
The only other board I've ridden is a CWB ride. And I didn't customize it. I talked to them on the phone and they were very helpful with the questions I had and told me to call any time if I had more questions. Great customer service. I bought it from Rinkers here in Houston.

been workin on my 3's this past weekend too ... using a P5 Danielo Carbon Small (4'3"). Board actually spins too much ... first time I tried I did a 720. Tried at least 10 more times and I'm over-rotating almost every time. Any tips on how to pull out of the spin?
