sure is. they estimate it weighed over 300 lbs. they put it on a scale but the scale maxed out at 300 and there was still part of the fish laying on the ground

Another reason I won't ride in Texas, giant snakes and giant prehistoric people eating gator fish......wtf
You don't have sturgeon in NY?
Not in our lake , maybe Erie or Ontario. But not very many left
Don't boat on the great lakes, it can be like an ocean....lol
I have one shot from the other day that I will throw up here. It is not a great shot (from a smartphone camera) but it can illustrate a couple of points. This is me going W2W behind my 2001 Outback with all my sacs EMPTY. I am 6' tall and weight 200 pounds. I have been trying to practice having my legs straight when I hit the wake, which I have a real hard time doing. This is one of my more sucessful attempts.
I guess the points this is illustrating is that technique is really important and a HUGE wake isn't really needed until a rider gets REALLY good.
Although I do have dreams of a Mojo in my garage...

Conditions today on Lake Michigan were ideal. Flat, clear, cool water for miles in any direction. Blue sky. Light wind out of the southwest. Air temp in the low 90s.
Just for fun, I pulled pictures taken on January 2 from the same location. It was a brutal day. Bitterly cold winds bearing down from Canada were starting the lake freeze. Wave action from the north wind even drew the ramp water level down.
As the seven pictures show (see both posts), Lake Michigan is a lake of extremes. On a day like today, it is hard to beat for boating fun.
Second post with Lake Michigan pictures.

A few photos from the 4th. Two lakes one day. Karma was with me since I hit the ramps all 4 times with no waiting so was able to pull in and out without any crazy drunk people around.
Sorry no wakeboarding photo's since the GoPro was set to record and I have not pulled stills from it yet. Also we were playing catch with the GoPro we we floated.

The cul-de-sac, aka "war zone". This was a single string of 16,000 firecrackers that went non-stop for around 9-10 minutes. The guys that live over there are nuts...

Crappy cel phone pic - but this is an example of the kind of stuff they were shooting off right over our houses. I swear it rivaled some of the bigger actual shows I've been to. I think this particular one was about 15 mortar shells all fired within a few seconds of each other.

Figured since I had no water pics from this holiday I'd throw up what I had. Good looking neighborhood firework show no doubt
I spent a little time on a texas game warden boat last weekend after the fireworks show. Suspected me of BWI and I had to go on shore to do field sobriety tests. Had one beer during fireworks which I told them, but I guess they just assume anybody who says they had one is lying and actually had more. Needless to say I owned all the tests and they let me go. Sad thing is they broke more laws then me (0) on the way to do the tests, smashed into another game warden boat pretty good and went threw two no wake zones. Come to find out the reason they stopped me was because I stopped in the middle of two bridges to take my american flag off the tower so it didn't hit the lower of the two while I was crossing under. They couldn't see that at night so thought I didn't know where I was going.
Damn Police!! Guess its a good thing you hadn't had too much to drunk brother!

Thats ridiculous that they hassled you so much.

It was a fun weekend spent with the family
Not sure it's ridiculous or a hassle thou. If they saw him drinking a beer, or like B said he told them he had 1 beer, I would expect a sobriety test be done. Everyone, and I mean nearly everyone, who is arrested for an intox offense always says they "only had 1". Next step for law enforcement is to conduct FST's to determine if that is truthful or not.
It was an inconvenience for B no doubt, but I would much rather have TPW "inconvenience folks" than get smacked by some drunk on a holiday when I have my wife and kids on the water with me. Just my .02 cents

I am not against a sobriety tests but to pull him off his boat and drive him to shore to conduct it is a bit excessive. These guys are supposed to be trained to tell if someone is drunk, and im sure Brandon was not stumbling about after one beer. I just feel like they could have conducted any sobriety tests from the water and avoided pulling him off his boat and away from the people he was wit to conduct said test. Maybe I am wrong and sobriety tests dont work in boats though.
Your right David, what he should have done was give B a HGN test, which is the test on the eyes. The HGN will give you enough to make a determination if the driver is intoxicated or not and from there you move on to the field tests. Field tests can't be done on a boat but the HGN could have been and proceed accordingly from there

It really wasn't too much of a hassle because I didn't have anywhere to be. I get why they did what they did, they can't do sobriety tests on the boat because it moves around in the water. It just added a little excitement to our night, I was mad nobody got any pics tho.lol I was just worried what a breathalyzer would show after one beer, i've never had to blow before so i was pretty nervous that it would come up too high even though physically I felt 100% sober.
I'm loving the pics of the American flags on your boats, not to mention the patriotic bikinis!
We get pulled by the "green legs" at least twice a season for an equipment check. They generally won't ask about drinking unless they see you with a beer or your acting drunk. I would not be happy about getting taken to shore for a sobriety test after one beer, but I think them pulling us for equipment checks is harassment to begin with.
Here's one of my flag setup, I didn't get any pics on the water last weekend, hopefully I'll get a few this weekend.

Oh man... where do yall get these flagpole tower mounts???
I am using stainless house clamps around the tower and flag pole.
Here's what I rigged up.

Brandon,
I love your patriotism, but that is straight up ghetto on your new Supra! At least paint the wood blocks black!
Haha, I know it looks awful but it worked like a charm. I was actually gonna paint the wood but decieded it wasn't worth the effort since it would only be on the boat for a couple days.
