Side angle of that wave. Should be interesting when they release the new specs.

There hypothetically could be a Houston based website that is worth visiting with additional Max related photographic content.
I agree. I call him the buddha of surf waves on how he can get any boat dialed-in. We just passed him on the lake a few weeks ago during a mid-week outing. We were riding foils and he was surfing with this wife in their SE.
We rode my SL back when he first moved to TN. He rode a custom board from Nick at Chaos. One summer after that he told me he broke it and had to wait to have another custom one built. He's a big dude, so an off-the-shelf board does not work for him. His two sons also ride Chaos boards and they can RIP IT for two dudes that do not surf much anymore (or as much as they did in the past). Because he is so active on posting media, I'm sure his family is getting smoking deal . . . . but good for them.
my bad. too many birthdays... i'm thinking of jeff from sc. met robert at the 2012 polar bear. he opened up his house to 50 of us on the last night for a bbq dinner. such great people and would get my vote as one of the top 10 most influential people in helping mold wakesurfing into what it is today.
I was in group 3. crazy to see the waves then and now. night and day for sure.. wish mike's moomba would have made the cut for the event. it would have been in the top3 for sure..

Ahh man that's cool video from the past. Back in his Tige days. Wave looks good for 2012.
Dang, that Sanger is riding low and has the big angle to the side. Water is up to the top-deck and cleat.
Not long after that they tested a friend's SG then Skiers had them in their first SE.
It's too bad that Polar Bear outing is no-more. It was cool to get reviews and feedback about boards and waves from riders. I rode with Robert's crew on Norris Lake right before the Covid days. He talked about trying to get that outing back together, but Covid happened, people got weirded out those days, and it never happened or was planned after that. I assume insurance also has something to do with it too - who needs to get sued if something bad ever happens.
New Max was live today. That boat started out in 2018 at 4500# dry weight and 3000# std ballast. Then later increased to 4000# ballast. This year it’s at 5200# dry weight and 5000# ballast.
