Hole in Ballast Bag

If still under warranty, submit a claim. They replaced mine, had a small pin hole and a fitting that had ripped out slightly

Follow up to this. Do not waste your money on the $12 patch kit from Fat Sac. I didn’t even fill the bag and it has started to peel. Going to pull it off and try Flex Tape.

Im telling you, that flex tape works! Make sure to clean the bag good first with some alchohol.

Or diluted lacquer thinner. It cleans better and evaporates faster. It will also remove the adhesive left behind from the FatSac patch.

Thanks. I will give it a try! I guess I should have known. They are in the business of selling Fatsacs. Not repair kits….

The Gorilla waterproof seal tape is really good stuff too.

I used 3M 5200 to seal up a small leak in the bond between the bag and the apron(?) material around the quick connect fitting. I slathered as much as I could inside and outside the leak/joint and (knock on wood) it has held for a season so far.
