That is funny as hell! Have not seen that trend around here yet but will keep an eye out. Oh the chaffing!

Wow, I'm impressed with everyone so far. I figured by now this thread would have taken a few, really bad turns and become a sh*! show but look at everyone being so mature.
I've thought about the swimmer's shorts under the trunks - wondering if that helps keep the shorts down or just hides the tan line when the shorts get pushed up regardless.
I was looking at O'Neill's shorts as well. I do dig their styles. I was looking at the Hyperfreak shorts just the other day. Is the fabric any heavier than any other manufacturer?
I can't really compare the fabric to anything else because I have never had any clothing that comparesto it. I know that sucks as an answer! I will say that while they are flexible in all the right ways, the fabric feel stiff, yet light...If that makes sense to you, you'll understand what I mean when I say that they almost feel like those terrible "softball guy" shorts but not. They are way softer and way more comfortable. I can wear them all day with no rub and no rash what so ever.
The Hyperfreaks are an inch shorter and hit me (6'0") right above the knee. I prefer longer shorts which normally would ride up the leg but these don't ever. Hyperfreaks dry a little faster too.
My problem isn’t having to pull my shorts down, it’s keeping them up. No ass, no hips, lots of em-bare-ass-ment.
a pair of well fittes jeans are actually really good as others have mentioned, give it a shot ;)
Same here, plus I have what one could call an “extended” butt crack. Plumbers got nothing on me haha. I’ve always worn boxers under my board shorts, which get heavy when wet and never dry out. Ordered these this season and they are awesome:

The mesh ones are lightweight and dry out fast, plus they seem to stay up enough to somewhat cover my crack. Btw the motto on my boat for over the past decade is “if you don’t like it, don’t look at it” [emoji38]
This is a great thread. I have the same problem with my trunks riding up my leg. drives me crazy and happens with I wakeboard too. I've been pulling them down since I started wakeboarding in 1998. I'd love a solution to this problem. Especially since baggy long trunks are no longer in style, I would think this is easier to solve. FYI, I still have baggy long trunks so please don't take offense to my style comment. I'd like to have slightly shorter (not short) less baggy (not tight) trunks but can't find any. It seems everything is one extreme or the other.
