yea, I did mount it on top of the pylon that you hook the rope over. If you unscrew the cover over the pylon it is hollow. It is a little hard but I was able to fish the wires up through the hole. I can't remember for sure but I may have had to use a bigger drill bit and open it up so I had more room to work with. It was a bit of a pain but it worked nicely. I can take a picture of it mounted if you want.

If i remember correctly i drilled a hole in the back tube that the pylon is on and ran the wires from the front tube to the back tube and then fished it up the pylon. you can see the black plastic hose the wire runs inside of.
