OK true story. The first "slalom" ski I ever had was a Dick Pope Jr that my dad bought off the owner of Chimney Corners on Crystal Lake, MI where my family used to vacation. Well when I got that Dick Jr out I could tell it had been used a lot. It was very worn down... but still firm- not rotten at all. So I took it out in the driveway and polished it down. I got some varnish remover and stripped it down, then polished it... a lot. I applied layer after layer of polish and then varnished it till it shined once again. At that point I could tell it was ready to go ride once more. When I took it out for a ride the first time it wouldn't stay up!! What I mean by that is it sank! That's when my father said "Son, you've polished that old Dick Pope Jr way too much!"
SWEET CYPRESS GARDENS, MAN! YOUR BOAT ROCKS! I think Moomba should sponsor the next Big Pull.
Love it!!!!!!
Did he also tell you that you would go blind if you didn't stop polishing it? ;):D
