Get with cactus, I know nothing about Lake Houston. I honestly don’t see any advantage in going to Lake Houston over Lake Conroe. And Lake Somerville is the same distance from our boat storage as Lake Houston and there is no traffic to and from there.Quote:

Yeah, up until last year we rode Livingston/ the river pretty exclusively. Only issue with the river is it’s pretty much useless from spring time to mid/late summer due to all the debris from rain run off. We started going to Conroe and LH last year. We went to Somerville Friday for the first time since 2011Quote:

Back when I was in high school and college the river was home with my Malibu year round. I dunno what changed in the last 10 years but the river just seems constantly trashed 90% of the year.

The river is definitely sketchy until about June then its gets a lot better as the rains die down. I got super spoiled the first year we had our boat because it was during the drought and the river conditions were epic the entire year.Quote:
