This is what it is now. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...9962477bc2.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...7f09725d4c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...1900fc935d.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...490964044a.jpg

This is what it was before, like this when I got it. Garbage. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...907c3c38f6.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...4e3f59de10.jpg

Here’s mine...https://flic.kr/p/TtNsNo
there are a lot of guys who know stereo systems/set ups a lot better than me but i would not want any of my amps or stereo equipment on the floor of the boat. Everything i have seen is always mounted on the side just in case you take water over the bow and get water in the boat.
Yes, go vertical young man!
They are not on the floor, they are suspended on a board! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...4539b8c827.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ac34dae573.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...613b2060ba.jpg

oh, didn't notice they were above the floor. That is definitely better than on the floor. What I have seen is most put them on the side of the boat and then that also frees up more space on the floor for storage.
I don't pic of my 02 lsv, used a cutting board and mounted using the bow back bolts, only had 1 amp. HTMS.
This was my '10 LSV, setup. Made a riser so I could shove the batteries further forward for more room.

last amp rack in the last boat. stereo battery is in a box against the wall in the corner of the pic. other 2 batteries are in a compartment in the rear of the boat in the factory location.
I am with the others in that I would not ever mount amps flat even above the floor. too much temptation to toss a wet towel or lifejacket in there. would also recommend that batteries are put in battery boxes. keeps something metal from arcing across the terminals and cleans up the storage space.
all just my .02...
The wall of the walkway is actually incredibly thick on these boats. I was able to screw my amps directly to it on my '06 24SSV using short screws and 1/4" spacers to keep them from digging into the carpet.
Sorry I don't have any better pics on my phone anymore.

The amp rack. Future plans are to use a sheet of expanded core plastic on stainless steel standoffs to cover the wiring.

It's definitely not the nicest around here. Wait for pics from KG or Dusty for that.
Yes, Phantom.
- P1000.1 to the subs at 2 ohms (750 watts)
- P900.4 to the eight 6.5 in boats (225w x 4 @ 2ohms)
- And I have a pair of the P600.2 which are each bridged to a Wet Sounds Rev410 pod at 4 ohms. Each Rev410 is getting 600watts RMS (bridged)
YESSSS!!!!!! All the sparkles!
(if/when I get around to doing the faceplate over the amp rack, it'll have LED backlighting. Guess what color?!?!)
should not need the power caps in a two battery audio install.
to the op put the amps on the side wall .
The PPI amps are legit... that 1000.1 is a mean sub amp. I've got mine at 1 ohm powering 2 W6's, and it gets down. I for a while ran a PPI on the Rev410, but couldn't get it adjusted well.
To be honest I think it was more of a problem with the head unit I installed in the boat, no matter what I did with the crossovers on the amp with the head unit set to flat curves it just never sounded right. Always had too much low end and it would clip before it really got loud.
Once I added another 410 on that massive SD4, holy s***... it was amazing.
I'd never hesitate to use those PPI amps again. Can't beat them for the $$ and fast shipping on amazon!
If anyone needs a 600.2, I have one I'll sell.
Do it! You'll love it. Are your W6's 10's or 12's? I have 2 10s in a ported box and love it. Can't wait to get it installed in the new SA. I need to make another thread on here and see how everyone has done their SA. I'm having a hard time coming up with good ideas.

That's what it looks like when you let a CPA do what a engineer should be doing....;)

Javelin is powering 12" Exile sub and (6) 6.5's, WS is powering a pair of Rev10's.
I think he's talking about regular amps vs the few that can sum mono...
It was talked about a little in another thread. I sort of understand it, lol.
And actually he explained it to me even better in a PM. I followed his advice and used RCAs slitters to feed the signal to my amps.

This is where the amp combines the left and right signal on the input side, and sends a mono signal to the pod. A simple 2 chnl stereo like the PPi and most others, cant sum the signal. This means the left and right chnls are meeting at the voice coils. This doesnt sound good at all.
This is ok on a sub-woofer as we arnt going to hear this clash of chnls at woofers voice coil, we you can with a full-range speaker. This is where a higher end amp like the wet sound Syn and SD series are so valuable, also amps like the Arc KS series. They allow for that full-range summed mono signal
Now, there is one way to configure the RCAs with your dual amp setup that will be decent, but still not as clean as something like the Syn-4/Syn-DX-4, SD-4, Arc KS-300.4 or JL MHD750/1. Split the RCA and plug both rights into the left and right of one 600.2 and take the left two and plug them into the left and right of the 2nd 600.2.
This allows the amp to make full power since both chnls are fed, but each pod is receiving either a left or a right, rather than each pod receiving a left and a right that mix at the voice coil.
Question. Could I use the 900.4 bridged at 2ohms 225x2 to run two sets of tower speakers? I've got a set of 7.7 krypts already and have a second set of matching 6.5 pods off the old boat. Can I run two different size speakers off this amp

No, you cannot run a bridged 2 ohm load on this amp. However, you can run a pair in series bridged 8 ohm, but the wattage to each is the same as 4 chnl 4 ohm stereo. So no wattage advantage, only a simpler wiring advantage in some cases.Quote:

Sure! one size and one half of the amp, other size on the 2nd half of the amp.Quote:

A few pictures from my build. The bottom of the rack now has a fascia on it.

I don’t have a picture of ours on my phone, I’ll have to snag one next time I’m around the boat and throw it up here

It's nothing special but I added a sub amp to the already installed wet sounds and kicker amp that came with the boat. I moved the batteries around to free up some room, added some led lights for night time operations, changed out head units so I could add XM and one that had a sub channel. I fiberglassed a box to fit on top of the foot board under the drivers console. I'm a big boy so leg room is very important. It's not pretty but you can't see it anyway. In the end I was very happy with the sound improvement and added base.

Nicely done! Love the blue!
Here's the view of the sub. Hard to tell it's even there. Was a very tight fit.Attachment 26572
