Does anyone have any experience rebuilding a V-Drive unit? My dads 08 LSV may need a new/rebuild on the V-drive and I was hoping there was a service manual out there somewhere so we could maybe avoid paying the dealer to do it.

One of my buds needed a 06 Supra v-drive rebuilt around Knoxville. I will ask him if he had it rebuilt and the path he took.Quote:

Next figure out your time constraint and see if you can take on the task yourself. The only special tools I can see would be a bearing press. Time is what no one has anymore so I get it if that is not feasible.
Worst case you have to buy a new unit which you might need anyway.
