I have a very small hole in one of my rear ballast bags. It is not at a seem or fitting, so I have no idea how it even got there. Any ideas on how or what to use to patch it?

Look for a screw or bolt used to secure the interior pieces.
To patch; Get a tube/towable patch kit.
You could also look for a white-water rafting patch kit.
Tear-aid will do OK for a puncture away from the fittings. Quick and easy.
Try this....not joking they actually work. Saved my neighbors pool liner.

I agree with the screw being in there somewhere. I found a couple of smalL #8 or so black Phillips sharp point screws laying in mine when I changed out my rear bags. Lucky they didn't get my bag. They are the same ones used to hold the engine divider panels in place at the bottom through the aluminum Chanel. And I will also say that the flex seal tape, and the gorilla waterproof tape are absolutely no joke! If you put them on something, you better want it there! They are both almost impossible to remove if you clean the surface well.

Good suggestions. I actually got a patch kit from Fatsac. Looks like a raft patch kit to me. I fear my hole was caused by mice. I left my bags on a shelf in my barn and found a nest on top of one. I would not have thought they would chew a hole in it, but I can’t find any exposed screws that would have done it.

About 5 years ago, my boat survived the winter storage fine. Brought it home and took the locker bags out to clean the inside.
When my locker bags sat in the garage for 1 week, a mouse or mice hit both of the bags with quarter size holes. With all the crap in my garage to chew, they picked the bags that were sitting on a cooler.
