Im in process of picking up a craz, water tested it yesterday and now worried sick the dealer wont Winterize it correctly or at least to my standards am I being crazy? My boat sat in a shop that never gets below 40 vmy main concern is them getting water of of ballast system so it doesnt pop 6 pumps due to the extreme cold we are gonna see tonight. Im sure they can do fine winterizing the rest of the boat.
Winterized with antifreeze and not concerned.
Just hope my house pipes don’t burst!!
The ballast are self draining. I pull my rear bags since these bag inlet/outlet are close to the pump height. The rest of the water system just needs drained and left open. Ice does not do any damage unless there is not adequate room for expansion. Ice doesn't damage anything, the expansion of the water does. This is why Indmar doesn't require anti-freeze flush. Once drained, there is plenty of room left.
2 degree high!? Frigging crazy! And yes, or rather no, Atlanta is not prepared for this cold coming! My boat is 2 hours south of ATL and I live 4 hours south. It's supposed to dip to 16F where the boat is and 19F where I am. Still super cold for us though! Especially since it will be for several hours at that temp. I have all my pipes taken care of, but still makes me nervous. I wish you guys the best with those Temps coming up there!
