I would think you could get something welded to the side. If your tower is painted, you would have to strip it first. I had to get a weld fixed this spring. They had it fixed in 2 hours. Super slick.

we had an 08 LSV with. we pulled occasionally from the side and the tower wiggled a bit and we had to readjust the tower feet connections. then we stopped pulling from the side. may you have better luck than I.
