I'm concern about my swim platform wearing/loosening

I'm growing concerned about my swim platform dragging. '03 Mobius DD. Have any of you raised yours? It's starting to wear and loosen at the connection points which is likely due to dragging it while wakesurfing. I've thought about putting some spacers between the braket and platform to raise it a few inches. The boat was desinged for skiing and wakeboarding but we are doing a lot of surfing these days and I worry it's taking it toll and the thinning aluminum will eventually snap. Any thoughts on a solution?
