This past weekend my fuel sending unit died. I had changed it about 4 years ago. I was wondering is there is a more reliable one or someone has changed theirs with great results.

Sadly, I think this is a product with pretty crappy quality across all brands. It really pisses me off when you have to change the whole fuel pump assembly because one of those tiny little spring fingers on the sending unit breaks... I'd just try a different brand (Amazon reviews can be a good clue) and hope for the best. Fortunately they are easy to get to in these boats. I avoid Airtex, I've had some good and some bad from Spectra, I think I've done OK with the likes of AC Delco and Bosch but I think they've let me down sometimes as well.
